Johnny cage has already pushed out 5 movies in the past year and a half alone. None of them have made it to his expectations or the audiences. He feels like he is losing fame left right and center. The stunt actors are lacking the skills he wants, his manager keeps pushing him to go to conventions and stuff. But to Johnny it's all a waste of time. One day as he is wrapping up for the day on some action show that he knows will be a 1 season and done kinda deal. As he walks to his trailer two people stop him right as he is almost there.
Johnny: listen I'm tired and autograph time is over so can you please move.
???: we need to talk to you Johnny cage.
Johnny: and who are you robo arms?
???: I'm Jax Briggs and this is my partner Sonya Blade.
Johnny: partner as in romantic?
Jax: no we served together.
Johnny: oh I uhhh cool... that's cool... thank you for protecting this country and stuff...
Johnny: wait you still haven't told me why you're here?
Sonya: do you want a chance to get in a real fight and not some fake Hollywood crap?
Johnny: I mean sure but not against mr robo arms here.
Sonya: fallow us then.
Suddenly blue lightning bolts come down as Sonya and Jax walk through them.
Johnny: Holy shi-
Sonya grabs him and brings him through the lightning. They appear at Raidens temple on earthrealm. He looks around in awe at everything until he hears someone laughing.
???: damn I know you said we needed help in this bloody competition but were we really so desperate you had to bring the washed up movie star who hasn't had a decent flick in i don't know like 20 years and even the they where only mediocre.
Johnny: who the hell do you think you are talking to me like.
Sonya puts her arm out to stop Johnny from getting in a fight within his first 5 minutes of being here.
Sonya: this is Kano, he is one of the other fighters we have for the competition. Most of the time he is a drunk mumbling idiot so don't take anything he says to heart.
Kano: ain't you one to talk blondy. I've heard the mouth you got on ya.
Johnny: so what exactly is this competition?
Soyna: Mortal Kombat is a competition that takes place every 50 years to decide the fate of a realm. It lasts for 2 days and if a realm wins 10 competitions they will get the loosing realm. Outworld has one 9 out of 10. This is our final chance to win and save earth. You ready to start training Johnny?
Johnny: I guess I have no choice do i?
Sonya: No.
Johnny: I miss L.A
