Percy’s POV:
I can’t sleep. ADHD is not great for helping me sleep, I guess it’s another one of those sleepless nights.
I might as well go out for some fresh air, maybe I’m not the only one awake.
I opened the door and I see from the corner of my eye…a note? I bent down to pick it up, wondering why would someone be writing a note to me this late at night.
My first thought would’ve been Annabeth, but she left for a trip back to Virginia to visit her dad. So who else?..Welp, might as well try to read it. The note read:
“To Percy, I need you for something. Please go to the shore of Camp Half Blood and wait for a portal. Thank you! From:Hestia”
I swear this better not be another quest. But if it was…why would Hestia, of all gods request me for a quest? Whatever, I have nothing else to do anyway.
I made my way to the shore of Camp Half Blood, and sure enough, what was there? (gasp) a portal! Who would’ve guessed? Olympus still looked grand as usual, it looks better though with the re-designs that Annabeth put in.
(sigh) I wish she was here right now..It’s fine..she’ll come back after a month, and everything will be okay…it won’t end up like last time when I disappeared. I stepped through the portal, glancing back at the ocean waves one last time as I arrived on Mount Olympus.
This place looks cleaned up, like someone was expecting people to come. If I remember correctly, this is the east part of Olympus. I think these parts have guest rooms, I don’t know what for though..It’s not like the delivery people need them. And I doubt anyone wants to stay in the domain of the gods.
Wait..what am I doing? I have to meet up with Hestia, that’s why Im here anyway. Hestia is probably in the infirmary, her office is near there anyway.
Olympus seems empty, probably for the better. I made my way to Hestia’s office, hearing some voices inside…ones I recognize..I opened the door to see Hestia, Nico, and Jason..I offered a gentle smile, wondering why did Hestia call on us specifically?.. I’m scared to find out, considering it’s with Nico and Jason..Don’t get me wrong, they are my bro’s but..I haven’t seen Jason in a while after his quest and near death experience.
And Nico…well, our friendship has been on a rocky road..I haven’t even heard their voices in a while..Might as well try to re-ignite our little trio friendship.
The silence was deafening, I’m guessing we all weren’t expecting to see each other.
“Hi guys..Long time no see huh?” I say, trying to lighten up the mood. “I could say the same for the both of you” Nico replies, he looks better, seems like Will has been taking good care of him.
“Now that everyone is here, can we have an explanation why we were all called here?” Jason asks, He has a few new scars from what I can see.
His glasses look cracked but, he doesn’t seem to need them anymore.
Or he’s being stubborn and doesn’t want us to tease him like before.
“Well, I called you all here for a little reunion. I felt you three needed some time to strengthen your bond, considering you all haven’t seen each other in a while.” Hestia declared.
I was surprised she cared about our friendship that much to force us to spend time together.
“So..you’re forcing us to spend time together?” I asked, “Yes, and this is un negotiable. Don’t worry about any of your duties. They are all covered for, plus..I think you guys need some time to bond.” Hestia answered.
Before any of us could say anything, Hestia waved her hand and everything fell silent. Like time stopped at her command.
“You three are going to stay here in the east wing, you have your own hub with your own rooms and everything you’ll need. Your time to re connect starts now!” Another wave of her hand and we all fell through the ground. Into eternal darkness.
