Work Text:
Once, I walked between land and sky, journeying from hither to yon. On the way, I came upon a woman on a beach, throwing stones into the ocean. I asked her: “What reason do you have to throw stones?”
She looked at me, and said: “As with all things, this too shall pass. From dust was this world born and to dust it shall return. But between the two there is love to be found and lost, sadness and joy. I seek joy when I can. And I find joy in this.” So I stood beside her and threw stones.
