I like to take evening walks. They're cold, dark and quiet but I love them.
The complete lack of people can sometimes scare me, but it's often my favorite part. Though my walks have been getting later and this about my most recent one.
See, one part of my usual path goes through the woods as a shortcut. But that night I saw something.
It started when I heard a "coo coo". I turned around and saw a person wearing a mask. I think it was meant to look like an owl but I'm not quite sure. For a second he just stood there but then began to sprint towards me so I started running and did not stop.
I ran through the forest as fast as I could but quickly got lost in the darkness. Then I tripped.
I felt the him standing over me and I could not get up. It was saying something, I think it was "Hunt or be Hunted." over and over again. Then it stopped.
I turned around and saw an owl staring at me. I quickly got up and ran back home. I turned on all the lights and just sat in my room waiting for the sun to rise. But in the early hours of the morning I saw an owl staring at me outside.
Since then I have been seeing owls everywhere I go, even in the day and they are all staring at me.

Though told in such a way there is nothing in this that suggests the events were supernatural.
It can be perfectly explained by a man in the woods who likes scaring people and some unusual owl behavior.
Though something that is concerning is that six hours after this statement was given, Mr May would be arrested for attacking someone while wearing an owl mask.
