Chapter Text

BLACK AND WHITE ??:?? AM

To Grace Chasity, the Black and White still felt like an endless oppressive force, but she still knew she was better off than Wilbur; the place had become his new home. She went back to Hatchetfield whenever the Lords in Black were done with her for the day. It still didn’t change her feelings about the place.
Without conversation or other bodies there with her, the time in the Black and White felt unmoving; only when interactions occurred did it feel like a place. You can call the Black and White a void or even Drowsy Town, as her Lord prefers, but it was never called hell. She thought it was first, but not anymore.

She made do with this weird new double life…
Except for one part of it.

Max Jägerman.

It may seem strange, after all, she did kill him, and Wiley told her to let go of those human ties, yet Max and his fate have consumed her waking thoughts. The Lords said they dragged him down to Drowsy Town, and this is Drowsy Town, so… where is he? She figured the two best people to ask were Tinky or Wiggly, since Tinky was the time and space B-A word, and Wiggly ruled this place. It made more sense to go to Tinky first; he at least wouldn’t swear when irritated.

It doesn’t take too long to find the Lords or Wilbur in the Black and White, considering it was just void-like blackness. She found Tinky quite soon.
“T’noy, my lord,” It still felt off to her to call anything besides Jesus ‘Lord’, “I have a question.” The yellow god, in goat form, turned to her and, upon seeing that it was Grace, quickly changed into a humanoid form. Though it irritated the gods, Grace didn’t want to be physically altered and couldn’t due to her role, so they were forced to always be in a different form. Most of them gave her more grace than Wiley.
“What is it, Gracie?” Tinky inquired, giggling at the end of his sentence.
“Where are the souls of the Black and White?” That amused Tinky greatly.
“Oh? Why? Planning to pay them a visit or something?” He laughed once more.
“So they’re here?”
“Technically. Any soul that Nibbly hasn’t eaten is ours! Even the ones whose mind melted or body was lost to the Black and White still exist for us to play with!” Tinky was pretty nice about this whole ordeal. Sure, the lord was manipulative and sadistic as the rest, but since she wasn’t a Spankoffski and she’s their helper, he doesn’t see much reason to mess with her. “But, Nibbly prefers flesh anyhow.”
“And did Nibbly eat Max’s?” She asked too desperately. She couldn’t help it. No matter how much she disagreed with him or how different they were, Max Jägerman was like a plague on her heart.
“Ohh!” Tinky tossed his toy box into the air, clapping excitedly before catching his box again. “That’s why you asked,” He giggled childishly, “you wanna see your crush!” He looked at Grace with a smile and considered options. “Well, Nibbly didn’t eat him, and he’s not in my box, but the others hate it when I touch their things, so I’ll HAVE to discuss this with them!”

While it wasn’t the immediate ‘here you go!’ that she yearned for, she knew it would be entertaining to see Max and her reunite, which is all the lords cared for. It was a surefire outcome.
