Work Text:
Mid-Friday, after the lunch rush
A well known lady sat
After some errands to have lunch
Like a distinguished cat
Judging, old fashioned, and boring
Frustrated at her son
Not getting his relationships
Her teachings are undone
Some ghosts of the past would haunt her
As the dish reached her
A familiar voice, one she hoped
Buried in the past were
She saw a short fiery woman
Sharp brown eyes, freckled face
Is the mother of the children
Breaching into the place
With her, the child most haunting is
Leafy eyes, charcoal hair
Carbon copy of "the boy" was
Is the past she would glare
Next was another raven boy
Mischief behind glasses
Perfect blend of his parents quirks
Nightmare of his classes
Following them, the oldest one
His presence just confirmed
The bitter woman's own biases
She never unlearned
The little girl was the loudest
The most haunting she was
Messy curls and garish glasses
Split her away the past
Last was the "boy", not so boy now
Healthy, happy, and loved
The most offensive of them all
Ghosts in her face rubbed
Tried to eat but was distracted
By the family's joy
Oppressed by their existence, was
Cause that damn freaky boy
The family's joy, couldn't stand
Hurried gulped her meal
She wanted to escape the place
Boy's joy felt unreal
She took a stop at the bathroom,
Oh no! Jenny? was there!
With the little biggest nightmare
How did the redhead dare!
Janus? was polite to Tuney
Clueless to who she was
Talking flowers about Lily
Taunting her, Lily was
As she left, the "boy" noticed her
Joy fading from his face
The giraffe woman ignored him
Rushed away like a race
The green eyed raven hair man was brooding,
More protective of his children he was,
Were the universe forces colluding?
Seems they are messing with him just because
His wife the red firefly noticed his plight
She knew how to get to him and inquired
He told her how he perceived his aunt's spite
The firefly's temperament was on fire
Ginny drilled in his head that he is loved
Not just her, but their family and friends
With her he wouldn't ever feel unloved
They built a family and transcended
Not just a family, also a team
Built in mutual care, love, and esteem
And when push comes to shove
You must always know
Harry and Ginny against the world
Is the most wonderful team in the world
