Chapter Text
Jerry shifted closer to the door of the backseat as Archie drove past street lamps. The drive achingly slow, causing the hair on Jerry’s arms to shoot up. Hidden away in the backseat, he allowed himself to react. Tears craved its path down his cheekbones, silent as a dandelion’s seeds flying away. To be sure, Jerry ducked his head, some of his freeforms covered his face.
“Do you want a cigarette, Renault?” Jerry tightened his grip on his seatbelt.
“I don’t smoke,” he mumbled, glaring at the eyes on the mirror.
“Really? You reek of nicotine and vomit.” Archie’s tone was a mock fondness, it made bugs crawl underneath Jerry’s skin. He shook his head at the other’s words, but brought the collar of his polo to his nose. Nothing hit his nose so Jerry attempted as if Archie never said anything. Instead he stared at his features at the window, deciding what he needed to work on to ascend. As well reminding himself that if he was a beautiful chad-lite, then people will see something past the chocolates.
