Yuu woke up in the old creaky bed in the Ramshackle dorm, which she now called her own, even though it only made the poor girl miss her home world more than she already did. Yuu missed many things about her home, her family, her friends, all of her belongings, and most importantly her cats... Yuu really missed her cats, growing up in a large house that was connected directly to her family’s cat café she was always surrounded by cats, not that Yuu would ever complain about it she loved her little fluffy babies! Ever since she was a child Yuu was involved in raising the cats since most of the ones in her home were kittens at the time so she was deeply attached to them, and it wasn’t like Yuu was any different, hell she would always leave her bedroom door open ‘unintentionally’ so they could sneak into her room and sleep in her room with her. Yuu missed the feeling of petting her cats or even just the added weight that she felt when one of her little babies sat on her. It’s why she started leaving extra tuna treats in her bed for Grim before she sleeps since he normally ends up sleeping on her bed thanks to the lingering scent.
In all honesty, Yuu hadn’t slept all that much last night. This was because Yuu’s ADHD wired brain had decided that last night while she was trying to sleep was the most opportune time to ask one of those invasive questions that would leave her up all night being unable to sleep until she passed out from sheer exhaustion and this question was: ‘does cat cocaine have the same effects on Beastmen as it has on other felines or canines?’, Yuu was now determined to answer that question the same way that her biology and psychology lecturers had taught her to… conducting a field experiment and its not like Yuu had a lack of subjects to test it out on and it wouldn't harm anyone if it failed or succeeded so why not?
With all that in mind, Yuu slowly got up from her bed, not bothering to wake up Grim since he was still fast asleep, and immediately went to open her school bag, the same one Yuu had been carrying the day she had been taken to this strange world that she had been trapped in for almost a year at this point. Yuu had then opened the hidden soundproof compartment in her bag, which was where she kept her stash of homegrown, dried, and vacuum-sealed bags of catnip, treats, cat toys, and whatever supplies a pussy cat could need. Yuu, who was glad that she hadn't lost or misplaced any of her cat things, placed the video camera she had saved up enough money for to buy at a discounted price as long as she always gives Sam a copy of whatever dirt she got on others, immediately closed the compartment, put on her bag, and decided to head over to visit her friends in Savanaclaw, but not before leaving Grim enough food mixed with catnip to keep him busy and docile when he woke up.
Although, before she decided to enter the school building itself Yuu had decided to take a slight detour to Sam’s shop to buy two large packs of mini donuts which Sam had actually given her a discount on them as long as she promised to show him the footage he knew she would record of her latest bout of mischief that little imp of a girl was bound to cause since there had never been a dull moment around when she was up to something.

By the time Yuu had arrived in Savanaclaw, Yuu had immediately been ambushed by Ruggie, who had snuck up behind her and gave her a hug “Shyeheehee! Got you, Twig! What brings you here? You got any snacks? Please tell me you’ve got snacks!” Ruggie asked excitedly, his short spotted hyena tail wagging eagerly since Ruggie always knew that Yuu almost always brought snacks or treats on her.
Yuu just chuckled at Ruggie’s question and playfully ruffled his hair being careful to avoid touching his ears, knowing that they were incredibly sensitive and that he didn't like them being touched without permission. “Yeah, I got you some mini donuts. Although I need a favour before I give them to you. Do you happen to know a large room with some cushions or pillows here I want to try something and I need some help from you, Leona, and Jack.” Yuu replied with her usual warm smile on her face, giving absolutely no sign that she was about to get some of the finest blackmail material in history for this while also knowing that Ruggie would absolutely do her this favour as long as she didn’t give him any inclination that she was truly planning and because him would do almost anything for food, especially his favourite food.
Ruggie’s ears perk up curiously as he thinks about Yuu’s question for a few minutes, considering whether it was worth doing this for her, but since Ruggie trusted her since she had not only saved his life when Leona had Overblotted and even after the Overblot she had continued to visit the dorm, bringing snacks, new pillows, helped the Beastmen in the dorm groom themselves properly, and even acted as a therapist for him and the other students, not to mention how she also just offered him his favourite food how could he decline? “Ooo~! Sounds fun!” Ruggie exclaimed before continuing on to ask another question, “So~, wat’cha need the room and our help for?” Ruggie questioned before he let go and looked at Yuu with a look of sheer intrigue on his face.
Yuu just shrugged casually as she gazed at the boy who was just barely shorter than her, leaving her posture relaxed and unassuming like a predator wearing the skin of prey while she had been rearranging the straps of her bag. “I remembered that I had this plant from my world that makes felines and canines pretty sleepy after a certain amount of time, I just wanted to see if it had any effect on Beastmen. Don’t worry if it doesn’t work it’s completely harmless. I was thinking it could help Leona relax if he struggled to find a good place to nap.” Yuu answered, disguising her little experiment and what would happen during it by being just barely vague enough to the point where she had been lying about nothing else than her considering that Leona could use this herb to help him sleep when he couldn’t find a peaceful place to do so since cats do get tired after catnip takes effect, but only after the high had worn off.
“Sure ‘ere’s an empty room at the end of the east side you can use. I’ll get Jack an’ Leona to meet us there.” Ruggie replied, already immensely invested in what Yuu had told him before he ran off to, leaving Yuu to her own devices.
Yuu chuckled at Ruggie’s behaviour as she watched him run off into the distance before she began to walk over to the room she had just had been told about, her stride relaxed as she decided to take this time to plan how exactly she had planned to go about to go about this. After all, she needed to find a proper place to hide her camera so she could be able to have it film without a risk of it getting damaged or compromised since if she was indeed right this situation was going to get rather messy and she was all for it.
Upon arriving at the location in question she opened the door Yuu was greeted by the sight of a rather spacious room that was a bit dusty, but she could work with it and there was furniture scattered around the room. There were two corners of the room that had caught Yuu’s attention in particular, in one there were stacks of old mattresses and in another there were a few desks, but as she walks inside further she looks up towards the ceiling of the room and takes note of the beams supporting it which she could hide her camera, although it would be more practical if she set it up closer to the entrance. This would decrease the risk of it getting seen. Oh well at least she had plenty of time to set up the room for her lovely little experiment before the others arrived!

Leona ran his hand through his hair as he approached the door.
