Work Text:

Standing on the wooden dock staring blankly at the passing boats as the rain softly drips on to her head, letting the water run through her pale hair. Her eyes burn from makeup running down her face and the salt of tears. She wished it was like when she was younger, when she could see the sunrise, when she could see the boats pass by as the rain falls back into the sea. She had gotten herself into this and it was far too late too back out.. So she continued to cry soft silent tears into the waters. At some point or another she had fallen to her knees gasping for air; she no longer cared her robes would be ruined by the run down dock, the splinters of the dock ripping at the lace on the black robes. She didn't want to look put together; she wanted someone, anyone to help her, but an even bigger part of her wanted to dive off the dock and see Lady Death herself waiting beneath. She couldn’t help but love the sea even if it had taken all she ever loved. She hadn't even noticed but her tears had stopped as she let her hand graced the surface of the water. Part of her was glad she had given up her vision so she couldn't see how sickly her own reflection in the water looked. She moved her weight on the dock and laid down managing to get her whole hand into the freezing water. She didn't have anything… anyone…
She stood back up and began to unbuckle her boots, then untying the outer most layers of her robes, pulling off her veil then she snatches them all up in her arms and drops them all in the water. She stood for a long moment standing in the black under most layer of her robe. She takes a few paces backwards and falters for a fleeting second before taking a running start at the water. She could still feel the rain in her hair and the tears on her cheeks, she let out a yelp as she hit the freezing water. Her arms burnt as salt water engulfed her skin, she squeezed her eyes tight. She tried to keep herself from screaming, but she didn't succeed. She knows what drowning feels like, she just hoped Lady Death wouldn't take long. She was running out of air. She felt detached from her body, she could feel herself choking and clawing at her own throat. She wished it was like the last time she had been drowning when she could stare at the world above her floating away as she drifted deeper into the mass of the sea herself. She wished to see the sun's morning light dance over the water as her vision fades out like it did the last time she was tossed into the sea. She felt the familiar tendril of Lady Death raping around her lower waist and draging her deeper as she slipped into unconsciousness.

Notes:

This isnt my favorite thing ive ever written but i like it i doubt it makes any sense with the little context given but we love my overly religious oc that keeps diving into the ocean she just like that dw dw
