Legend.. The “Epikly Epik” Legend. They’re a lantern shork. Just a regular ol’ lantern shork who wore their iconic red visor, except for the fact that they are not as intimidating as a regular lantern shork at all. If you were tasked with locating him in a group of others of his kind, you could easily tell him apart by;
His height as he’s short. (Really short. Like 5’3” type short.)
His iconic red visor.. Duh!
And his appearance, as he’s very silly looking.
But that’s probably really unrealistic because lantern shorks are extinct now, only “alive” in writing.
But enough of that, right now he’s walking over to the cafeteria. Raytraxians were scattered around the place in groups, talking to each other as some fought over food. He couldn’t help but feel nostalgic and think, ‘Man.. this place sure has changed..’ It’s been a while since he was in Laminax. Where was he? Who knows! Thinking about how much the cafeteria has changed is making him hungry, though.. He made his way over to the counter in the first half of the cafeteria, avoiding a Sircu who was cleaning up a spill on the ground. Behind the counter, a sprinklekit gave him a friendly smile. “Hey there! Need anything?” “Uhh..” Legend brings a paw up to his visor as he thought to himself. ‘I want of le food but wjat do i want? Ehh..’ He looked at the the plates that were lined up on the counter, each one had a different type of food on them. ‘Mehh’ He took his paw of of his visor and looked up at the sprinklekit. “What do ya’ll have?” The Spriklekit became bored but kept their friendly smile as they recited all of the food items that they had.
It didn’t take long for Legend to muffle out the spriklekit’s voice. Can’t talk to him for too long without having to do something to make him give his attention back to ya’. “And yeah, that’s all that I have for ya’!” ‘Oh uh… uhh… GOD WHAT’D THEY SAY…. Ima just say i want a sandwich. ‘ “Cool - uhh - I want a.. sandwich - yea.” Sprinklekit raised a brow, they could tell that Legend wasn’t paying attention at all. “Alright, one sandwich comin’ your way!” They turned their back towards Legend as they walked to another side of the room. Legend t urned around. The place sure was packed with rays - and also humans. Maybe there'll be room for him in the other half of the cafeteria?
He walked to the other half. There, indeed, was room for him - a lot actually. Only 2-3 tables were used up by a few humans, the rest were empty. He noticed two raytraxians, a scorched Azarue and a Kawaii shork, behind the counter across the room. He knew about Kawaii shorks but not Azaures, let alone a scorched Azarue, ‘That’s lowkey kinda weird but oki… Heh…! they sooo Kawaii oh mah god!’ The Kawaii shork noticed Legend staring at them and the Azarue. They felt a little weirded out by Legend’s extensive staring but still gave him a friendly wave. Legend awkwardly waved back as they slowly slipped into the freezer in embarrassment . What a great way to greet someone, Legend!
‘Mmmm… Freezer.. Wowie!’ The freezer was pretty chilly.. (NO DUH) However, it was massively different from what Legend remembered. The shelves were gone and the place was a mess of snow and icicles. The place also felt a little small - as if the ceiling was lowered. He looked around a little more and spotted a familiar figure. They looked like they were wearing goggles… The goggles. That’s not right, they’re glowing orange instead of purple, they're also wearing something that reminded Legend of a train conductor, it’s hard to explain, (steamcrawler btw) and their tail is orange. That has to be him. Legend practically ran towards them with his arms out while yelling, “SIR GOOGLE!!!~” Before Legend could even come into contact with them, he was hit in the head with something made out of wood. He stumbled backwards before falling to the ground and landing on his back. “Owie….” Turns out the figure, Sir Google, (As Legend called them.) held a broom in their hands.
“Legend? What the fuck.. W-when were you a fuckin’ lantern shork - no - when did you get here?” Legend got up and scrambled to put his visor back on. He smiled at Sir. Google. “Haii!” “Hi.. You’re never gonna stop calling me that, are you?” Legend started to bounce on his toes. “Nope! That’s your new name!” “Where’d you even get it?” “You don’t know?” Sir. Google gave Legend some attitude. “No. Why would I even ask you if I knew?” Legend’s smile dropped into a frown. “Sheesh.. Sorry dude.” However, he continued to bounce happily. “So, back in the good ol’ days. The internet, right? Google, very importantante back then. But, few dum dums would misspell google and instead spell goggle. That was big bad because if they went to goggle then computa would go bye bye. And so I was like, ‘Hmmm.. Wjat if goggle = google?’ And then I started to call you Sir. Google!” Sir. Google blinked a few times at Legend. “Yeah, I totally understood that..” “Wait.. It’s not blackout nor poweroutage.. What are you doing here?!” Sir. Google shifted his weight and he looked away from Legend, his face started to burn. “Uhh. Long story but.. Kinda started to drive myself crazy.. So, I needed… Needed something to clear my mind, I guess.” “You also look like you lost weight, or am I just tweakin’?” “You’re tweakin’.” “Ya sure? Cuz I swear you had more mooscles than that.” “Uh - Since when did you become a lantern shork?” “Oh! Uhh… I lowkey don’t remember.. Maybe when I went bye bye?”
Sir. Google sighed in relief, knowing he had successfully changed the subject. “But why’d you change the subject?” Nevermind, Legend isn’t that stupid. “Fine. I’ve.. Been struggling to get myself to eat.” Legend started to give a mischievous grin, “Care to tell more?” “NO!” Although Legend knew what would happen, he still jumped when Sir. Google yelled. He started to giggle. “God, I swear.. You’re fuckin’ annoying! Always doin’ that shit.. I hate you.” “Hate’s a strong word.” Sir. Google sighed. “Shut up man. Lemme clean and do my job.” “Nahhhhh. I don’t wanna. I…” Legend gasps as he runs out the freezer yelling, “MY SANDWICH!” Sir. Google goes back to doing what his job was, which was cleaning up the freezer. “Thank god. I am not ready for em’.”
Legend leaves out of the doors leading to the first half of the cafeteria, almost slamming his face into the doors by how impatient he was. He ran to the counter where the sprinklekit was waiting for him, they couldn’t help but to grin at how Legend was acting. “Right in time! I was about to start searching for ya’.” They handed him a tray containing a regular sandwich. Legend started to happily bounce much more than he did with Sir. Google. He repeatedly thanked the sprinklekit as he walked away. “No prob’!”
Legend found a table to sit at in the second half of the cafeteria. At this point, the song “More Than a Feeling” By Boston started to play in his mind - specifically the chorus. He sat down and started to happily eat his sandwich.
