Closer to Fine

Summary:

Usagi is just a normal girl living a normal life. She's always running late for school but gets there just in time. She has a handful of failing grades, likes to eat, and loves taking long naps after school. Everything is normal and average for her.
That was until the girl fell out of the sky.

-
Usagi was unconscious before she even hit the ground. Landing on top of her was a small child around the age of six to seven years old sitting on top of her back.
The young girl mumbled, "Mama?"

Chapter 1: the girl from the sky

Chapter Text

"Why am I always running late?"

Usagi sprinted past the group of girls. She didn't have time to stop and make small talk with them. No matter how she wanted to. The girls were all so pretty and some of them were wearing a similar school uniform to the one that she had on. It wasn't fair. None of them seemed like they were in a rush to get to school. She doubted that any of those girls were ever chronically late to class like she was.

If only her mother would actually take the time to wake her up, rather than relying solely on that stupid alarm that never seemed to be able to wake her up. Instead of taking her usual route, she turned on the street to cut through the park in order to save time. This route would hopefully cut her travel time in half and let her arrive to class on time for once.

As she reached the middle of the park, something hit the top of Usagi's head. She came to a sudden stop and looked around for what had hit her head. Her eyes landed on the strange black ball that resembled the appearance of a black cat. There was no way that the ball had fallen out of thin air, but crazier thing had happened in her life recently. Her hair had randomly started growing at one point and there were times that her body felt almost as light as air. A ball falling out of thin air was a stretch, but not by much.

"What the hell is-"

Usagi was unconscious before she even hit the ground. Landing on top of her was a small child around the age of six to seven years old sitting on top of her back.

The young girl mumbled, "Mama?"
