Steve is fully aware 5up has not been sleeping like he should be. He does tease about it, but he worries for the little guy. Whenever they talk, he blinks sleepily at him as if he’ll suddenly understand if he can blink enough.
So when he suddenly falls asleep on top of him on the couch, he doesn’t move and instead lets him sleep there. Despite the fact he could be doomscrolling, he decides to just play with 5up’s hair. He wasn’t very touchy when awake, but Steve knew he liked his hair being played with, so he played with it.
His phone buzzed some time later, so he picked it up. A single message from Hafu, and he remembers that he had plans to play Valorant with them.

hafu this is serious. he isn’t some hoe he’s my perfect little guy and i love him more than anything
he hasn’t slept in at least 4 days i think
i’d rather miss a stream and some valo than dare to wake him up

and he was really busy, had a deadline for something
so yes, i’m sorry hafu, but i won’t be coming to valo just cause you need me, cause 5up needs sleep more than i need valo

He closes Discord after that, his hands automatically finding their way back to his hair. He presses his lips to his asleep boyfriend’s forehead sweetly.
5up yawns slightly but only shifts to move his head onto his chest. Steve rests his head on 5up’s, slowly scooching down to fall asleep with him.
He notices his phone light up with one last message before he falls asleep. Once again, it’s from Hafu.

He ignores it in favour of wrapping his arms around the 5’8 form laying on top of him, breathing slowly yet so very softly.
That evening, 5up sees the message, accusing him of being obsessed. At the moment, he’d laughed it off and kissed him.
Perhaps he was a little obsessed- or growing a little infatuated with the man he used to despise with every bone in his body, now with every drop of his blood, he loves 5up.
