A cold snowball went down a shirt — response — a hand shifting to the back, while ears listened to the twins giggling at the sight of their guardian letting out a shudder at the sudden chill going down his spine.
“Oh, really,” Takumi called out, forming a snowball, keeping it light before turning and aiming one at each face of the twins, grinning ear to ear as they went splat; and they stood there, as if frozen in time, before letting out a playful roar.
And he was off, playing tag with Alan and Elena through the snow, laughter ringing out over the fields of snow.
