A maid opened the window , outside the sun has just rose and birds were flying in the sky.
Rays fell on the green haired boy’s face and he turned around in discontent. The maid walked to his bed and gently nudged his shoulder.
“ 5 more minutes” He muttered drowsily.
“Your highness, you have to wake up.”
Deku sat up and faced the maid then said in a friendly tone
” I have to get dressed.”
He wanted the maid to leave was all, but couldn’t just say it because his royal manners didn’t allow him to .
Deku was a nice person or at least that’s what he thought he acts like. Like a decent prince-king to be.
He was lost in a cloud of empty thoughts ,got on his feet and swinged to the bowl of water,splashing his face,he brushed his teeth after.
“God, did I wake up at the wrong side of the bed? Maybe just the wrong life.”
He shook his head and stretched,goofily cheering himself up
“No. I must stay positive because today is the last day.”
The greenhead put on the outfit carefully prepared by the maids,he opened the door and left his room .He reached the kitchen and sat down, in front of him was a traditional Japanese breakfast: fish ,rice, vegetables and a tofu soup. He looked forward to eating the tofu since tofu tastes kinda sweet and he had had huge sugar teeth.
He ate the tofu first and as he was enjoying the yummy soft tofu ,another boy walked inside.The blond pulled a chair and sat at the other side of the table as far as possible from Izuku.
Deku payed no mind and was about to finish when the other began eating.The silence wasn’t awkward since it was something familiar ,despite the two of them growing together and practically living in the same castle ,they never talked to each other.
Deku put down his chopsticks when he finished his meal and thanked for the food.He headed to his room to use the little time he has before his duties start and he quickly wrapped up everything he needs in one single yellow bag .
When the sun came down and he returned to his bedroom,he tied a rope from his bedsheets and flung his bag on his back,he opened the window but for some uknown reason somone forsefully opened the door ,barging into his room and his esape.It was no other than Bakugo himself.He closed the door behing himself.
‘’Kacchan!?”
Bakugo standing in front of him was wresting his hand on his torso and he said bluntly
“I knew you were hiding something,stupid Deku.”
“ Ssh ,don’t say that so loudly.Besides why do you care?” Deku whispered as he was letting the robe fall out of the window.
“Cos I was planning to leave too .So move” Bakugo,having his own bag strolled to the window.
Deku was shocked but he knew he didnt have enough time so he let the processing happen later,he dropped down,Katsuki followed him suit after seeing the boy he disliked landed on the brick ground.
“Quick” Deku sneered.Both Katsuki and Izuku ran to the forest,running as far as they could before running out of stamina .Deku sat on the ground,exhausted and soaked to the bone from sweat. Katuski being no better,supporting himself on a tree and were panting quitly.
After the break they had,Katsuki said monotonously:
“You got your freedom.What do you plan to do from here,shitty nerd?”
Izuku turned to him and said curiosly “Why do you care? We can part ways from here unless you don’t have a plan .” Izuku teased and Katsuki made a grim expression
“HAH?! WHO DOESN’T HAVE A SHITTY PLAN ,YOU PIECE OF SHIT .THE ONLY REASON IM STICKING WITH YOUR ASS IS BECAUSE IF I RUN OUT OF PROVISIONS ILL USE YOU AS A BATE FOR ANIMALS SINCE YOU PRACTICALLY LOOK LIKE A VEGETABLE WITH YOUR HAIR ”
Katsuki shouted ,stomping closer to the greenette and Deku flinched ,backing off slightly .
“Right ,sorry Kacchan.I shouldn’t have assumed.”
Katsuki scoffed “Tch”
The sun was already down and the sky was getting pretty dark that the ground and sky were beginning to merge into the same deep dark blue so Katuski gathered sticks from the ground ,Deku doing the same and they lit a fire before falling asleep, heads resting on the bag they were carrying .No goodnights were exchanged between the two .
The morning Katsuki was the first to wake up so he took out his knife ,carving a bow and he caught two birds with ease.The blond had rather excellent surviving skills.
Deku woke up by the smell of the meat cooking and he crawled to the fire ,taking a look at what was Katsuki preparing,his mouth already watering.
“I never tasted Kacchan’s cooking before.”
“Too bad,you never will.” Kacchan smirked evily.
“Kacchan,you are so mean.”
“Yeah? Then you are not getting any “
When the food was ready Katsuki shoved a bowl with food at Izuku.
“Aw thank you so much,Kacchan” Deku beemed as he seviored the food like it was the best thing he ever ate which was close to the truth .
Katsuki shrugged his shoulders and ate his own bowl ,he was thinking why he’s sticking to the shitty nerd and what would be like to do it on his own ,his whole life, he was a lone wolf but for some reason this time it was different almost like he didn’t want to go on any exploring himself,he got pretty far making it on his own perhaps he wished not make any step further and instead stuck with his rival.Ironic but great sense of entertainment .
There was silence between them ,Deku opened his mouth,not initiating another argument with the blond,he briefly explained he was going to the town where All Might was .Katsuki nodded since he knew the nerd would naturaly just run away and follow the life of his idol.Katsuki got on his feet “Lets go.”
Izuku knew the blond from his childhood ,he was the most ambitious person he ever knew and yet as they were waling something about his steps being calmer and his blank stare while eating made Deku feel like Bakugo was exhausted .Bakugo noticed he was staring at him.
“Oi nerd quit staring with those creepy eyes!” Bakugo barked .
“My eyes are not creepy!’’ Deku huffed .
‘’Yeah and im Santa Claus’’
‘’How would I know,you might be living a double life,living off serving kid’s happiness’’
Bakugo chuckled ‘’That’s so ridiculous, I hate brats.’’
As a future king it should have been the norm to be interesting in finding a wife and having inheritance but Katsuki didn’t want that and neither Izuku .
Deku wondered where he was going with everything,he wasn’t afraid of being lost but he didn’t want to wonder forever that’s why he was going to follow the path of becoming a sword holder,because he wanted to help other people out,because he wanted to be free,because he knew injustice and couldn’t stand it ,the way the royalty family was build for decades,so many generations following the same path,he couldn’t have stand it but they should hurry up,he reminded himself or they will be found and once again posted as the same symbol of royal blood and nothing else.
“ Oi , walk faster.’’ At that Deku cringed,remmeberibg how much he disliked the other’s taunts at times like this.
Finally a village appeared in sight and they were about to enter but a sluggish form with eyes and mouth jumped in front of them out of nowhere.
‘’Can’t believe you actually can punch,I thought so far your only match was the air. ‘’ Bakugo smirked.
‘’Yeah because it can take on more than you’’ Deku matched his energy,he replied fast.
“Try me.’’ Bakugo dared him and at that moment Deku actually punched him in the face,not too hard but still a good punch and at that Bakugo looked at him and grunted “Damn”
“Why does it sound like you like it?” -Deku
“Shut up” Bakugo punched him at the face and Deku smiled.
Of course,worn to the bone from walking all day they knocked on the first house they saw.
After Deku knocked on the door and politely asked if they can stay for the night the one opening the door was something they never saw coming .It was All Might.At that Deku almost screamed but decided not to be a creep and just shook his hand in a fanboyant manner while Katsuki was as well fanboying and staring at his idol,though trying to mask it.
“Well,as a hero I must protect so yeah ,why not.”
Toshinori just being forced out of his bed agreed ,bringing the two boys inside and showing the guest room .He said goodnight and headed back straight to bed.
“Wow ,one room’’ Bakugo said monotonously and he got undressed,leaving only his underwear on and laying on the one bed.
‘’Kacchan,you have no shame.” Deku was staring at his back muscles, he got half undressed himself leaving only his shirst on and he laid ,facing the wall.
He was starting to get nervous,he could feel Bakugo’s eys digging holes in his back when the blond turned his way and he scoot closer ,wrapping his arms around Izuku.
Deku got caught off guard “K-Kacchan.’’
“Just shut up, the room is cold and I know for a fact you are gonna cling to me anyway when I fall asleep!’’ Bakugo closed his eyes and drift off into sleep .Deku fell asleep shortly after,the comfort of the blond lingering on his skin.
Deku woke up ,he looked at his side but Katsuki was no where to be found ,the greenette got up and walked to the living room looking for the blond,he finally caught a glimpse of his hair and saw the blond was cooking with All Might.
Izuku smiled .
“Good Morning’’- Deku
“Good morning,boy’’ All Might said .His expression got serious before asking .
“So ,you are a runaway and serios about becoming a sword master?’’
Deku looked him in the eyes and said with no hesitation.
“I am .How did you know?’’-Deku
All Might pointed at Katsuki,who was setting the table.
“He did.” -All Might.
Deku couldn’t help but smile once again .
“Of course he did.’’ -Deku.
The past two weeks All Might put them in a hell of a training.In the end of the session both collapsed on the ground and laying back to back they stares at the sky blankly but they were determined to become what they always dreamed of .
Deku turned his head and smiled hazily,his eyes glued to Katsuki and both leaned in.
