The team were in one of the safe rooms taking some rest since this was the most difficult day on mementos. Kira on Sumi’s lap playing with one of his fake eyeballs, Toshiya trying to not get hit by Kira’s mask, and the others checking for possible injuries covered by their outfits. “Hey Messa.” Sumi spoke, making the doctor stop playing with that scary eyeball.
“What.”
“Are you free tonight?”
“Yes, but if you're going to invite me to eat something I am not paying, I always do.” Seiji, who was near them, just laughed at the doctor's comment.
“Nonono, I wanna go to the pond with you and maybe… teach you how to fish.” Toshiya said with a little embarrassment in his tone.
“Fine with me, whatever keeps me from going home and listening to my sister talking for the rest of the night.”
“We are good, we can go back.” Said Nagisa while Lufel transformed into a car again and drove us to the entrance of mementos.
On the station we said what we usually said after doing a successful exploration of mementos before going to our respective places. The train was less crowded than usual and surprisingly the train did not take too long as usual.
“So we are here! I suggest you roll up your sleeves, talking for experience.” Sumi went looking for the fishing rod while Kira sat on those yellow boxes near the pond.
“I have never done this before.” Kira said, grabbing the fishing rod.
“First of all, you need to put the bait here.” Toshiya said while showing Kira where the bait is supposed to be.
“The bait here…” Kira repeated Sumi’s movements.
“Now, aim somewhere aaaand…go!”
“I aim here and…”
“Perfect now you wait.” Sumi said while sitting on the yellow box beside Kira. “Here comes my first one.”
“Are the fish scared of me? Come on, I don't bite…not fishes.” Kira just looked at his fishing rod before speaking again. “I’m kidding fishes.” After that Kira noticed how his fish rod started to move and just like Toshiya did he pulled the rod catching one fish.
“Yes! You did it!” Sumi said proudly of his partner.
The two of them kept fishing until the clock hit 10 P.M. Sumi as usual gave his boyfriend a sweet kiss before leaving for his stop at the station, and Kira became frustrated as the train moved, because he knew that his sister was probably on his sofa and passed out for drinking.
