Hakari swaggered toward the medical headquarters, his clothes slightly battered. Despite the instinctive healing from his body, blood and dirt still coated his being.
His fight, if you could call it, with Uraume was more of an annoyance than a physically challenging showdown. A loop of hitting and blocking, with no further possibility. Gambling isn't fun when the outcome is obvious.
Well, until Sukuna's defeat was imminent. Uraume had practically dissipated with no purpose left to live for — Hakari acknowledging their passion and watching them pass.
Now, dust and debris lingered around, rendering Hakari's vision a bit blurry. In the distance edging close, he watched as the survival group of on-fielders crowded together.
"Tch." He groaned quietly in annoyance, knowing he'd have to join in their conversation too. However, his current motive was only to see his passion again.
Finally approaching the main centre of it all, his eyes naturally locked onto familiar starry pupils.
"Kirara." He gruffly called, a contrastingly smitten look on his face.
Kirara's mouth opened into an 'o', her excited yet soft gasp reaching Hakari's ears. Her gaze matched his, relieved and lovestruck.
"Kin-chan.."
Kirara practically bounced up off the ground, running right to his arms — nearly knocking Hakari and herself back down. The dust kicked up from behind her and dirtied her bottoms. She didn't mind though. Not when her darling had his hands around her waist again.
When Hakari's grip loosened, Kirara immediately tightened hers. She sniffled quietly and whined. It pushed a chuckle out of the man, who sighed with faux annoyance. He whispered softly in her ear.
"Miss me that much?"
It was a no-brained inquiry. Of course Kirara had. She wipes her silent tears and played along anyway.
"...Nope."
Hakari laughed again, squeezing her bottom and pressing a kiss to her forehead.
"I missed you too. Two hours was much too long without you. I'm sure you'd agree."
"Clingy." Kirara teased hypocritically, finally pulling away slightly to sit Hakari and herself onto the ground.
"Never again." She murmured, tracing his Adam's apple.
Hakari nodded. Who was he to say no?
