Chapter Text

I have stolen the real Horcrux and intend to destroy it as soon as i can. I face death in the hope that when you meet your match, you will be mortal once more" - R.A.B ,  1979.

A wise person once told a beautiful thing: " You cannot change your fate; your fate changes you. "

And Sirius Black knew it better than anyone else. Maybe this was the reason why he wanted to run away so badly. Because another wise person once told "But if you do not want to meet your fate , then you can try to hide from it and run, and play with it an endless game unti one of  you wins. " - Sirius was born to be a winner. So , of course, he won this time. Because there is no other way for him anyway. Once you leave the  Noble and Most Ancient House of Black , this is your  first and last time. What happens to your not-so-honorable memory lately ? Well , you probably  become nothing but a hole in their family tree.

Sirius took a long stare at his room, which he hated madly. He wanted to take as many things as he could, and to make it as clear as day that he was not related to these people anymore.

But obviously, there were things that had  to stay untouched, because what if Walburga would miss him someday ? He grins to himself at the thought. Even to think about it was ridiculous enough to make him laugh out loud.

However, he smiled gently when he gazed longingly at Gryffindor banners , the pictures of Muggle motorcycles he loved , and the most important and dear thing to him he could ever own in his house: his best friends. James with his confident smile all over his face, Peter who looks so shy even through the picture, and Remus. Remus Lupin. Moony.Their beloved , strong Moony who has suffered all kinds of tortures through his life. Sirius genuinely  believed that one day they might find a way to help Remus and to end his suffering almost forever.

Sirius accepted that they couldn't  stop the full moon from changing Remus. But Sirius has researched about it a lot. There were days and nights when he was sitting timelessly with the papers and books, learning about moon phases. It was almost the only time he made his mother proud. If only she knew why he did that, she would have probably  hexed his arms off a long time ago.

Well, not anymore , he thought. Now everything he did was unstoppable, with no punishments hanging over his head.It was just a little bit of a painful war with the other side of his heart that told him to stay. Which was stupid , because he had no reasons.

Almost no reasons.

" But what about Regulus ?" The voice in his head asked him, bleeding into his ears.

" What about me, Sirius?"
