Kiera’s feelings for Daenora are strong, nearly overpowering. It isn’t that Daenora doesn’t return them, not as such. It’s just that Daenora is frightened of her own desire, let alone that of others. Kiera sometimes thinks that, if he were not already deceased, she could kill Aerion for what he did to sweet Daenora. She deserved so much better. Anyone would have done, for he was a cruel man and, though they were hushed, there were many celebrations upon his death. Kiera snuck Daenora out to one of them, to watch the laughter fill her face. So, she could wait.
