Summary:

A romance....eh. I dont really know. It's more of a pet project than anything

Work Text:

Cold. Wet. Squishy. Mushy. Rainy. Soggy. Every unappealing word known to the entirety of mankind.

That's all Victor could describe it as. He had no idea where he was. He'd lost everything. A house, a job. What ever did he have? He's had quite a boring life. For what? The hopes to settle down? Why's it matter minutes away from death?

His socks were soggy. His beat up brown boots looked clumpy from the mud as he stumbled. So world looks so odd when it's blurry, Victor realizes, before the world fades to nothing.

                                                                                                               ...

Elias hated cleanup at the theater. Why couldn't the prop people handle it? None the less, there he was, organizing various props.

Now, don't get Elias wrong. He loves acting at this theater, and he loves acting in general. But cleanup? Hell no! He could be at home, warm with his dog, out of the rain. If he left earlier, he could have missed the storm entirely.

Speaking of the storm, gosh it sure is raining pretty heavy...

"ELIAS!" Nova yelled. Not that Nova and Elias didn't get along per say, Elias was just friends with Nova's girlfriend, Luca. Nova was a bit of a hothead.

Elias sighed, picking up a foam sword from the prop table and twirling it. "What?"

"Help me take some trash to the dumpster" Nova commanded, handing him three trash bags.

Elias huffed and put the sword down. The dumpster was half a mile away! The theater was quite packed in and there wasn't enough room for a dumpster nearby. So yeah. Half a mile. In this rain. Elias shivered, and noticed Nova was already waiting for him at the door.

He quickly caught up to her, and the two took their leave from the safety and warmth of the theater.

The two walked about a quarter of a mile. Until, Nova's shoe hit something with a thunk and she stopped walking. Elias, oblivious, kept walking. It took him a hot second to realize why Nova stopped....

"OH MY GOSH! IS HE DEAD?" Elias screamed.

Nova was taking the guys pulse. "NO you idiot! Here hand me your trash bags. You can carry this guy back to the theater where it's warm."

Nova picked up the cold body and shoved it into Elias' hand, much to his dismay. The body was super clammy and reminded Elias of humid days. Personally, Elias would have imminently dropped the body if it wasn't, well, a body.

Elias stood still and watched Nova walking into the distance. Now here's the thing, while Elias was sure this man was fine looking, being passed out in the rain and mud is very unflattering. Elias, not being a murderer was also not accustom to lugging dead (or nearly dead) body's around. Unfortunately, this body was heavy. And wet. dripping, even and horribly cold.

Elias barley made three steps towards the theater carrying the body in a bridal carry before he practically was dragging the body. Elias wasn't built for this! Neither did he wake up, and prepare to be dragging a cold body in a storm to his place of employment! Eventually he walked through the revolving doors of the theater, and all he did was throw the body on the couch and walk the other direction. What was he to do? He's not a doctor.

Elias settled down next to the prop table and put his head in his hands. He fell asleep horribly quickly.

                                                                                                                      ...

"why do I get stuck with all the hard tasks?!" Nova wondered while slinging 5 trash bags in the dumpster.

Now, Nova was never one to complain. She was the manager of the theater and all but she didn't hire a bunch of actors just to carry 5 trash bags to a dumpster for 3 quarters of a mile. Then again she normally didn't run into limp lifeless bodies but oh well. Its kinda odd since sure the rain was bad, but it wasn't snowing and the theater is in a shopping district. surely it wouldn't have been so hard to stop at the nearest shop, right? sounds more comfortable than falling face first into mud.

Of course, Nova didn't have much experience falling face first into the mud. Nova slunk against the brick wall and dragged herself closer home. Maybe she should stop at a shop on the way.

                                                                                                                      ...

"Hey wheres Nova- OHMYGOSHWHAT" Luca exclaimed among breezing in the room.

Its not every day a sopping wet stranger was in the theater. And Elias was asleep too which was horrible manners!
