Elisha was in love. She knew that, because there was no other in her class who could make her feel the way that she did.
She hated her class, that alone was fact. Yet one girl was about to change it all, at the time not even she was able to comprehend that. The impact people can have on our lives, it's never truly known.
To her in specific, it was unknown.
Natalia was her sister. Twin sister to be clear, so she was first to know. Elisha went to her, telling her on a fortunate day, back in September 2025. She told her, there was a girl she liked, and that girl happened to be in her class too. At first, it was a surprise to Natalia, as her sister was someone who'd do anything to stay out of school; She'd get herself sick, to avoid entering the class that was her equivalent of hell on earth.
So they made a plan. With the help of friends and through connections, the two were set up. Mera and Elisha, at school together. There came instances they hung out, and over time their love for one another became painfully obvious. From conversations, talking about their love for one another, matching profile pictures. They liked each other, that was known. It was no secret to most of their friends, and they built a community of people that were supportive.
It was nice, it was welcoming.
It was love.
Lunchtimes at school, shared laughter, comfortable silence in the space of their shared classroom. They grew closer, through words or even silence.
And Natalia was fuming, how weren't they together yet? Till that day, Mera asked her a question. One she was hoping for soon, it was Mera asking for her blessing as the sister of her love, Elisha, and Natalia happily obliged.
Just a week later, they got together. It was a happy sight for the few that witnessed it, and it was love.
Meralisha were in love.
