Chapter Text
Cassandra felt empty.
Allthough it may seem as though it was easy to find her way back to normality after all that’s happened, it was quite the opposite. She’d felt empty, like the moon without its sun.
She thought going on a journey, trying to find her true destiny would help.
But she’d come to accept that the destiny that once was hers had died out along with the person she’d been before she altered her destiny, the person she should’ve become.
For two years, she hadn’t eaten, hadn’t slept, hadn’t been sick, nothing. She didn’t feel the need to.
But now, now that she was human again, she’d had to learn to deal with those things. The reality of being able to die once again crashed down on her when the force of Zhan Tiris explosion killed her. Allthough Rapunzel revived her and everyone else, she still felt the pain, the despair she felt. The despair she’d felt as she finally found home in Rapunzel again, a real will to live, one that wasn’t driven by envy or hatred, just to have it all ripped from her in one second.
She’d felt empty since she last talked to Rapunzel. She last felt something when she was with Rapunzel. And so, like the moon, she yearned for her sun.
For her light, the one who reminded her that she was worth fighting for, the one who stayed.
The first week of being consumed by the moonstone, she ate and slept out of habit, until Zhan tiri told her she needn’t do any of that, as she was the embodiment of the moonstone, and that said stone had altered her bodies chemistry alltogether.
Bullshit, she’d thought, nearly letting out a dry chuckle.
This is bullshit.
