Chapter Text
Ka Lung stretched, yawning as he opened the fridge. Emil was sitting at the table nearby, starting his work day already; Ka Lung’s not that much of a fan of that, he wished he had more time to spend on him. With him.
“ Em’, ” Ka Lung groaned, turning his head to Emil, “ There’s, like, nothin’. ”
Emil looked up from his laptop, confused, “ Ha? ” He attempted to see the fridge, tilting his head, “ Thought I restocked… ” He mumbled, not paying much attention to Ka Lung’s peril.
“ Yeah. Like… Last week or somethin’. ” Ka Lung pouted, “ ‘M not anorexic like you, y’know?! ” He walked towards Emil, “ I gotta eat! ”
He pulled Emil’s chair back, earning an annoyed noise from him, “ What are you doin’ that for… Plus, I’m trying to quit that, ” Emil moved his head, away from Ka Lung’s almost angry expression, looking back to the fridge, “ Well, do you wanna go out? To buy food? ” He muttered, probably to himself yet addressing Ka Lung.
He heard an excited gasp before Ka Lung grabbed his chin and pushed their faces close together, their lips not even close however, “ Yeah! ” He smiled wide, ignoring Emil’s grumble, “ C’mon, you can, like, take a break. Spend some time with me! ”
“ But… Ugh… ” Ka Lung shut Emil up with a kiss on the lips, a small peck, before he had the chance to continue.
Emil thought for a second, “ Okay. Y-yeah, sounds good. ”
“ You’re cheeks are red. ” Ka Lung chuckled, smirking.
“ Nei. ” Emil pouted, “ Stop smirkin’, it’s not funny. ” He huffed, that in turn making Ka Lung chuckle. “ I said stop! ” He raised his fist in an attempt to hit, a feeble one; both of them knowing he wouldn’t dare.
Ka Lung smiled, “ Let’s go then! ” His dimples shown, grabbing Emil’s raised arm and pulling him off the chair.
Emil fell on top of Ka Lung, whining, “ Ugh, why do you gotta be so strong?! ” Ka Lung chuckled, beginning to speak, “ You don’t even look like you have that in you! ” Emil cut him off, watching his face crumble.
“ What?! I’m, like, super sexy… ” Ka Lung sulked, no real sadness in his voice, “ You’re bein’ mean. ” Ka Lung grabbed Emil’s waist before he turned to place his hands on the floor, lifting himself up.
“ Let’s just go. ” Emil grumbled, “ I how he trapped Ka Lung on the floor.
“ You’re k-kabedonning me… ” Ka Lung blushed, squirming in fluster.
“ Oh, shut it. ” Emil huffed, “Let’s get goin’. ” He watched Ka Lung’s face below him, watching how red he got simply because of a stupid romance trope. Emil let a giggle slip, seeing Ka Lung’s face transform into pout. “ Don’t be a child. ”
Ka Lung gulped “ Okay. ” He stuttered for a brief moment, “ I won’t, I’ll be good. ” Breaking eye contact, embarrassment clearly getting to him.

Emil walked up to the milk section, “ Did we need milk? Forgot to check. ” He looked back to Ka Lung, stationed with their cart, watching him nod his head— stopping, then shaking it.
“ No, we didn’t have, like, anything. ”
Emil sighed, “ Is that an exaggeration? ” Walking back to the cart, and to his boyfriend, a litre of oat milk in his hands. “ I know how you’re like. ”
“ I’m being serious! ” Ka Lung huffed, “ There was barely anythin’! ” A whiny tone, “ I basically eat for the two of us! ” He spat out, a hint of concern mixed in with his, for lack of a better term, hanger.
Emil sneered, “ Was that concern? Or just you bein’ a fussy baby? ” He would’ve chuckled at the thought, but he saw Ka Lung’s face; not the right place to do such. Emil quickly shut up, still showing him a prideful glare.
“ Maybe it was… ” Ka Lung mumbled, avoiding eye contact, moving an arm to fidget with his sleeves. “ Stop making this a big deal, okay? ” He looked back to Emil for a quick moment, wandering away to shop for more items.
Emil sighed, “ Alright. ” They’d probably talk about this when they got home. For now, he’ll just continue with the shopping. “ What do we need? ” Emil pushed the cart towards Ka Lung, raising his voice slightly.
“ Like I said, everything! ” Ka Lung didn’t bother to look at Emil whilst replying, “ But we should find ingredients for meals, ” He checked an expiration date, “ Knowing you, ” He glanced to Emil, “ You never have enough things to, like, last you an entire week. ”
“ Sorry then. ” Emil internalised a thought of, ‘ I didn’t need an obscene amount of food until you came along. ’ Though, it’d be better to keep that to himself; especially in public.
