There he was, shining as gold. My Lord, was he beautiful. That little blue wizard hat and his dark navy blue cloak fit so snug on him and Mike couldn't help but smile. Oh, the effect Will had on him. Mike was always smiling though, he was a knight figurine after all. Glory and power was all he knew (besides from crushing on Will, that is). Mike had to be quiet now though, Matt and Ross were in the room. These two boys were the bane of his existence. They were homophobic, lazy and probably shower-phobic too.
They were being loud, as they always were. Shouting swears like they were acceptable for 12 year olds like themselves. Making a rukus was their full time job at this point, making more than the president.
Mike was pissed. Like normal, they were preventing him from seeing his beloved, so naturally, the hatred grew by the second, minute, hour - bloody hell these guys wouldn't leave their room!
The two boys hated how Will and Mike always ended up next to each other. Like some mysterious force had drawn them together. Every. Single. Time. Mike wanted to protect Will and keep him under his wing forever. He knew he couldn't do that and he knew Will wasn't his. He knew, because Mike had already given himself up to Will, whether the Wizard knew it or not. But finally, as if the higher powers has heard Mikes midnight cried prayers, Matt and Ross were going on a school trip. So, this means Mike could finally confess to his one true love.
As the two teenage boys leave, the circus comes to life. The play phones wake, the Raggedy Anne and Andy start brushing dust off them. The core four wake up. Mike, then Dustin followed by Lucas, all starting to crack their joints and put life into their face.
Then Will. As he opens his eyes, initially squinting because the light got to much for him, he stood up.. He brushed the brown hair out of his face, slowly waking up and taking in the world around him.
Mike felt as though he could stay there forever and believe you, me he wanted to. Before he was ripped out of his paradise by the teasing voice of his best friend.
'Are you just going to stand there staring at him, Mike? Or are you going to talk to him.' Dustin says, patting Mike on the back. They had made a deal the day earlier that Mike would confess to Will if Lucas helped hide Mike after almost getting caught moving by Ross. Lucas helped Mike. Mike had to hold up to his end of the deal someday. That day, was today.
'Go on, Frog-Face. Kiss the boy~' Lucas sings the last part like the song "Kiss The Girl" from The Little Mermaid.
'Yeah, yeah. I'm on it.' Mike retorted.
By now, Will was looking around and locked eyes with Mike. It felt as though time froze and it could be just the two of them. Dustin was behind Mike with Lucas and shoved the Paladin forward.
This caused Mike to make his accent up the bed, slowly but surely, arriving to the slightly smaller boy. As tired as Mike was, he still prevailed forwards, colapsing at Will's feet.
The Wizard laughed and knelt down to him on the floor, patting his head gently.
'Hey, are you okay, Mike?'
Mike almost crumbled into dust at the simple pats, let alone hearing his name come out of the other boys mouth. He'd pay millions just to hear it again. Unfortunately, reality calls him back and Mike realises that he has to respond to Will. He can't just lay and listen to his voice forever. The best response Mike could give was a strong 'Mmh,' muffled from the blanket beneath him.
This brought another laugh from Will. A laugh that Mike made himself. He was proud of this, even though he had other things to be proud about, this topped the scale.
This is when the nerves hit, Mike suddenly felt every bit of doubt, worry and panic he had ever felt enter his mind. What was he thinking? What is Will wasn't like him? What if he hated Mike for this? He couldn't ruin such a good friendship that he worked so hard for. Screw the bet, all he had to do was play it cool.
Yeah, he could do that.
Play it cool.
