Chapter Text
Bakugo
Izuku was annoying. Bakugo had always thought so. Since they were children they shared the same dreams and same hopes to become heroes. At least Bakugo was always in the lead. While Izuku followed him around like a lost dog Katsuki led him and his friends. They all followed as he showed off his quirk and bragged about how amazing he was. Deku was different though. He was always trying to be of help. Even after everyone learnt he was quirkless, Midoriya still defended others. He always got in the way when Bakugo teased someone. He never listened. Not when Bakugo said he was fine and not at any other moment.
When Bakugo was asked what he wanted to become he answered without hesitation. A hero. He would go to U.A. and become even better than All Might. As simple as that. Today he answered yet again with no hesitation. He however did not expect the teacher to reveal that no other than Deku had the same dreams. What an idiot. A loser. When the bell rang Bakugo was up from his chair ready to go beat the wimp. Like always Izuku chickened out. Backing himself up against a wall whilst Bakugo and his "friends" cornered him.
"Eat shit, Deku." Bakugo was furious. "Forget having a weak-ass quirk, You don't even have a fucking quirk. So where do you get off putting yourself at the same level as me?"
What an idiot Deku was. A coward. A loser. A piece of fucking shit. He was in Bakugo's way. He was some idiot who thought he was just as good as him. Yet he didn't even have the balls to stand up for himself. And he called himself a hero? Bakugo could've laughed. The idiot starting muttering like he always did. Talking about some "dream". How he'd always wanted this and blah-blah-blah. The wimp even had a notebook. Filled with facts about heroes. Bakugo laughed. Izuku actually thought he could do it. He actually thought that HE could be a hero. With no quirk.
"If you believe they're holding your quirk over in the next world... you should just dive off the rooftop."
And with that Bakugo walked off. That would crush Deku's dreams right? No way the loser would still follow him around after this? Bakugo sure hopped he hadn't taken it too far. But after all, he couldn't take back those words anymore. They were out there. Like an option to grab. And even though he said it Bakugo sure hopped it stayed just an "option".
Izuku
Did he...
He really just...
Was being a hero all that worth it...? No one believed he could do it. Heck Izuku wasn't even sure he could do it. His own MOM didn't believe he could do it. Izuku was quirkless, in a superhuman society. How could he stop vilains? By pathetically crawling his back up against the wall like he just did? He couldn't even defend himself. Bakugo was right. It was really just a waste of time. A waste of a life. Everyone had quirks. Why was Izuku different? Something about stupid toes. All he'd ever wanted was to be a hero. To be accepted by his peers. For Kacchan to stop bullying him. For that bully to get out of his head. Because yes he was still in his head as Izuku unconciously climbed the staircase of his school. To the top. He was still in his head when Izuku slammed his body against the door to access the roof. And while Izuku starred down at the rock hard ground he could still hear Bakugo. Izuku's mom even joined the miz. Saying sorry. She wouldn't have to be sorry anymore. After all Izuku was just an emabarassement. He wasn't a hero. And there was no point in his life if he couldn't be a hero.
No reason to live. That's what Kacchan meant right? And who knew? Maybe Bakugo would be nicer once Izuku was gone. He'd realize. His mistake. And that would make Izuku a real hero.
