This was stupid. This was so, so stupid.
Ever since that happened, Noli was ghosting 007n7. I mean, it was fair, who would want to talk to him after that anyways? He was just a stupid coward in Noli’s eyes. Just someone he used to love, and nothing more, just another mistake. 007n7 understood it too, he saw why he wouldn’t ever want to see him again but it doesn’t change the fact that it hurt. It hurt a lot.
He lay there like he always did, on the floor of his messy room. It was horrible and dirty, and he couldn’t bring himself to clean it. ‘I’ll do it later,’ he kept telling himself.
007n7 knew he would never get around to it, though.
Every day was all the same. Sit on the floor and wait, wait for Noli to come back, wait for his life to get better, wait for… c00lkidd to come back. Man, everything was going to hell… he glanced at the clock. Just 11am? It felt like he’d been lying for ages. He was sure it would be at least past 3 by now. His gaze then drifted to the box cutter he kept close by.
No, not now. It’d just hurt too much and sting throughout the day. Maybe after dinner. If there even was dinner… if there was, it’d just be another crappy microwave meal. It took another few minutes of tossing and turning on the floor, drowning in procrastination, before he finally got up. Maybe a walk could clear his mind.
He stretched, his bones popping and arms aching as he slowly opened the door of his room into the corridor. Walking downstairs, he sighed loudly to himself. Hopefully this would work. He looked back upstairs. There was always the box cutter at least. That was just about the only thing that would be loyal to him anymore.
007n7 put on his shoes and grabbed his bag, which had his phone and wallet in it, just in case he wanted to pick something up from a shop, and opened the door to the outside world. Even the park by his house felt greyer that day… maybe it was just his age.
Slowly, agonisingly dragging himself along the streets, he felt like a walking corpse. As he passed other healthy Robloxians, he wondered if they noticed the tired look on his face, if they saw how he felt, and how they probably judged him.
Turning a few random corners, he was just begging to forget his troubles. Walks are supposed to clear your mind, so why isn’t it working? he thought. My mind is even louder out here than inside… I’ll go back inside if I can even find my way back.
The buildings around him were not new sights for him, especially the bar he was just approaching. He didn’t even have the money or the time for a drink right now. He turned around, sighing loudly to himself and glancing down an alley. Maybe I went back that way, he thought, before stopping in his tracks. A purple hooded figure was passed out halfway through the alley.
A purple hooded figure…? Was it-
He brushed away the thought, it couldn’t be him. Not here. He couldn’t, no, Noli couldn’t let himself pass out behind the bar like that. Just thinking about him brought a fresh wave of guilt. Burning down Elliot’s pizza place. Feeling good about it back then. It sent a feeling of sickness through him, and he begged himself to just leave him and go home.
Leave him? You’re still just a selfish prick, 7! A nice person, like ELLIOT, would HELP him. You’re stupid. You’re so fucking stupid.
The thoughts wouldn’t shut up for a while, and he found himself just standing there, doing nothing, just watching the limp body lie. Furthermore, there was some blood welling up on the corner of a bin. Maybe Noli had passed out and hit his head? 007n7 finally pulled himself together and approached the body. He didn’t know what to do. He knew he should get him somewhere safe, but the sight of someone carrying a corpse home wasn’t the best sight. To be fair, the community’s perception of 007n7 was already bad… so fuck it.
He scooped up Noli and immediately felt weird. Noli was breathing, that was good, but… it still felt wrong. So, so wrong. He shivered and just made his way home. Occasionally he’d yelp at a little twitch or movement from Noli, but finally he made it home. He dropped Noli onto his couch with a small thud.
Ugh, god, Seven! What were you thinking? You should’ve just left him to wake up in that damn alley, and now he’s your responsibility again. This is what you get. This is what you get for being such a fucking ass.
Eventually, the figure stirred, flinching a little at the new environment and looking around. Seven freezed. He didn’t know what to do here! What would you do here?! ‘Hey, I just kidnapped you, and also it’s me, Seven’? ‘I saved you from sleeping outside’?? ‘I’m not going to kill you i swear’????????????????
“What the fuck just… Seven…??” Noli murmured, sitting up.
“Oh, er… Morning. Noli.” Seven smiled.
WHAT KIND OF FUCKER WOULD SMILE YOU MISTAKE TO SOCIETY SEVEN?!
”Morning?? Where am I? What did you do?!” Noli shouted, maybe even sounding a bit scared. Seven felt so guilty he could die on the spot.
”You were passed out in an alley and I kind of panicked.” Seven fiddled with his hands behind his back.
”…oh, wow, that explains everything.” Noli groaned, seemingly sarcastically, but… it did explain everything, or at least everything Seven knew.
”Anyways! I’m going to make us some tea if you want-“ Seven laughed nervously, trying to regain a sense of normalcy, maybe even regain their friendship, but it all came crashing down.
”I’ll just go.” Noli said as he stood up and walked towards the door.
”Oh… okay.”
…
click.
And everything had gone quiet again. His single chance to get someone to talk to again, gone. Seven was standing in front of the kettle, still looking where Noli had been moments ago.
He then started to sob. God, he hated it. It was so much worse now that he’d tasted freedom. He went to his room and reached for the box cutter.
