Chapter Text
"NOOOOOOOOX!!!! Your human is in another book!!! GET DOWN HERE!"
I sighed as my sister, Violet, yelled at me to get down from my box for the millionth time.
"Yes, yes, hold on." I replied, taking one last bite of the chocolate bar that was larger than me before I scrambled down- gracefully, mind you- off my perch on the box stack. I landed- again, gracefully- in front of my sister.
"There you are! Finally, I thought you'd never get down here. Your- what was his name again? Chase? Well, he's in another book." Violet, in all her purple glory, told me what I already knew.
"Alright. Shall we?"
Before I finished my sentence, my sister turned into a key. See, there's only one problem with that. Her key form is bigger than me. How am I supposed to carry her over to the book? Pure willpower and the ability to not feel pain. Sounds fun, right?
I suppose I should introduce myself. My name is Buddy. Well, that's what my kind-of-boyfriend Chase calls me, since I haven't told him what everyone else calls me. And it's what I prefer. I am one of the twelve archetype keys- I take the role of the "Villain" key. But... I used to be human. I used to be just a common street urchin, stealing things to make money. Well, that was a mistake. I robbed the wrong house and got put into this weird box thingy that used to have the original Villain key in it, but i merged with it somehow, so here I am.
"Let's get this started."
I placed Violet into the keyhole on the book, and got blinded by a flash of light. Again.
