Work Text:
Sancho had never truly liked humans that much, yet that would eventually change. One day, on one and her fathers adventures, there was a woman. A ginger woman. This woman looked like she was dead already. Don Quixote being the 'Noble Knight' he is, decided to take the human, named Ishmael, into their home to recover. What Sancho didn't know back then, was how smitten she would quickly become.
3 months. Ishmael had been stuck in this castle for around 3 months.
Ishmael groaned, sitting up before getting dragged back down. Ishmael immediately froze, knowing it was Sancho. It was always sancho. She huffed trying to pull away to no avail. After a bit of back and forth, Ishmael spoke up, "Just let me get up already.." Somehow, that plea of hers worked!
Sancho let out a little 'ah..' before letting Ishmael go. The both of them eventually got up. Ishmael stayed in her nightgown while Sancho put on her regular clothes. Sancho's head shot up as she heard the door to the bedroom shut. Ishmael was leaving her behind? No, Ishmael wasn't that cruel..
Ishmael had wandered down the halls of the castle. The castle she had been trapped in for... far too long. God, they said they wouldn't hurt her. They promised! But.. Ishmael couldn't get all those horrid tales about bloodfiends out of her mind. They could go practically feral! Ishmael searched for Don Quixote until Sancho found Ishmael first.
Sancho smiled seeing Ishmael, approaching her quickly. Ishmael was still searching and sancho decided she wanted to help her dearest human!
"Ah, my dear, what is it you're searching for?".
Ishmael sighed and turned around, "Your father. I can't find him anywhere in this bloody castle! I planned to return home soon. As soon as possible infact.." Ishmael mumbled that last bit.
Sancho froze up at those words. Ishmael?? Leave?? The castle?? Ishmael leaving the castle?? LEAVING SANCHO???? Sancho tensed up, the boa around her neck even fluffing up, like a cat would. She immediately rushed close and held Ishmael from behind. She wrapped her arms around Ishmael while speaking,
"Leave? But.. why? You have me! You don't need whatver humans are.. waiting for you out there! I'm here! You.. love me, don't you? Just like how I love you?" Sanchos voice wavered slightly. Oh, how she did not want her beloved to leave her.
Ishmael pulled away, yet, she kept hold of Sancho's hands. Ishmael sighed and refused to hold eye contact, "Sancho, it's.. it's not that simple you know that. Yes I love you but.. you're a bloodfiend-" Sancho pulled away, and spoke up. She spoke loud, cutting Ishmael off.
"And there's a problem with that?! I know of those tales but.. you see how they're not true! Please, Ishmael, please! You can't leave!" Sancho's voice was shaking, not from anger, but from fear.. maybe sorrow.
There was another voice who spoke up, Don Quixote, he must of stumbled across the scene. Before he could say anything, Sancho stormed off. She felt like crying. She felt pathetic.
Ishmael had left sometime after that happened. She felt upset without her, like a part of her heart was missing. Ishmael had left a note for sancho but.. Sancho never read it. She left it on the night stand.. and just stared at it. Yearning for a woman she would never have.
