Dear Akihiko
It's been 2 months now since you left. I moved back to America a week after you did it, I couldn't bear the thought of staying a week longer in Japan without you.
Sometimes I think about what would have happened if our schools never found out about our friendship. Would you still be here on this earth with me or would you would burn out either way?
I just started my sophomore year not too long ago in an American high school. Very different then Japanese high schools to say the least. Firstly, the food I genuinely forgot about how bad it for a while, to say the least it's horrible... I also miss being able to just stay in one classroom and the teacher having to move to teach a different classroom, maybe I'm just lazy which I am but I think that's way more efficient.
Maybe I'm just using this letter to distract myself from your death, but I truly miss you. If there was a god up there I wish they would give me just one more chance to just talk to you out of doing it so I wouldn't have to be back in the USA and without you.
If there really is an afterlife I wish you don't blame this on you because it's not your fault. You don't deserve to spend a eternity like that ever, you're an amazing person and I'll never let you forget that even if we will never be able to each other again.
