Work Text:
After days of research, metal working, and one rather embarrassing consultation with Crowley about the accuracy of certain Enochian wards, Dean is finally finished his latest project. You see, Cas’s angelic strength is pretty hot, and he can do a lot with his powers, but Dean wants a chance to get the upper hand on Cas for once — especially in the bedroom. And eventually, a solution had presented itself to Dean: he could bind Cas’s powers with warded restraints.
Dean doesn’t want to just take control, though. He wants to earn it. Level the playing field, as it were. So angel cuffs are out of the question. He wants to wrestle Cas into submission man to man, human strength body to body. And so: a collar. Hinged metal, locking, carved with Enochian sigils. One click, and Dean will have the keys to Cas’s grace.
Dean wants to surprise Cas at the right moment, but he also doesn’t want to wait around. Thankfully, the perfect moment presents itself that same day, when Dean and Cas are kissing, things starting to heat up, and Cas reaches to push Dean back onto the bed. Dean stops him with a word.
“Cas.” Dean places his palm on Cas’s chest. “I wanna try something.”
Cas looks at him expectantly, but instead of responding verbally, Dean reaches for the collar where he had left it in the drawer of his nightstand, shows it to Cas.
“You don’t have to,” Dean prefaces. “But I’d like you to wear this, just for a little while. It would suppress your grace, put us on even footing to do a little wrasslin’, if you know what I mean,” Dean winks.
Cas stares confusedly for a few seconds before he catches on. “You want to best me in friendly combat without me letting you win. This arouses you?” Dean feels himself blush at the way Cas - as usual - speaks a little too frankly.
“It’s about control Cas. And not just being in control. I want you to be able to lose control.” Dean sits up, looks down at his knees. “I just wanna take you apart, like you do to me. Wanna make it all about you for once.”
Cas gives him that soft, barely there smile, and tips his head down, showing Dean his neck. “Go ahead, Dean. I trust you.”
After closing the hinged segments of the collar around Cas’s neck, Dean clicks the lock into place, and the Enochian sigils glow briefly. And then, Cas’s grace is suppressed and he is essentially, for the moment, human. He is still strong, but it is a human strength; a strength that Dean can meet on even footing. Cas looks up and meets Dean’s eyes, his own watery blue and vulnerable.
In a moment Dean reverses their prior position, pushing Cas onto his back with hands around his wrists. “Go on,” he taunts, giving Cas a teasing smirk. “Put up a little fight for me, sweetheart.”
Dean feels Cas push back against his grip, the muscles of his arms undulating, firming visibly. Both the strength of Cas and the sight of him makes Dean falter and shake a little in holding his grip but he keeps at it, knowing better than Cas where to put his weight and how to apply it, something Cas had no need to know with his angelic strength.
Cas’s eyes widen minutely when he realises that he truly cannot shake Dean’s grasp. This is something different, for sure. Dean relishes the power he holds in this moment. Smiles, at Cas’s trust in handing it over, knowing Dean will only use it to make him feel good.
