SERAPH-IMP // Angelware x Devilware Fanfic (Die Of Death)

Summary:

Out of the ordinary, Devilware felt an unexpected, deep devotion towards his enemy after the war. Even after a frightful war from its torn-out incident, Devilware still couldn’t avoid or budge out the feeling. Angelware, however, doesn’t consider it until later. Devilware’s goal is to disclose his feelings towards his worst enemy, willing to find out whether Angelware feels distaste or quite the opposite.

Both Angelware and Devilware’s relationship drastically came into an unexpected approach as they attempt to survive situationships, conflicts, and mostly the soul stone’s influence.

Notes:

Warning:
- little bits of mischaracterization (mostly devilware maybe)
- THIS IS AN AU, meaning the badware "hivemind" will only take appearance in this fanfic.
- sentences that MAY describe gore
- suggestive (no nsfw)

P.S. This is my first AO3 fanfic; hope you enjoy!

I haven’t written fanfiction for two years now, so expect some grammatical errors and plot points that may be confusing… Expect this story to be short; I get writer's block easily. Some headcanons are credited to my friend (e.g. devilware's wings being torn out by angelware, etc.)

📌 MY SCHOOL IS NEAR SO THERE'S A PROBABILITY THE UPLOAD SCHEDULE OF CHAPTERS MAY SLOW DOWN, just to make sure I decided to upload one chapter monthly if I ever have time.

Chapter 1: I - Prologue

Summary:

Where the war of Heaven and Hell all started in the beginning.
This chapter is very short, but the next chapter would hopefully come out shortly!

Notes:

Warning:
- little bits of mischaracterization (mostly devilware maybe)
- THIS IS AN AU, meaning the badware "hivemind" will only take appearance in this fanfic.

Chapter Text

Several millennia ago, beasts and archs fought till death. They blamed them for the cause of the earth’s extinction; the other thought exactly. For their complaint to be true, they fought for 10 years until one stood last. As the followers of Heaven and Hell struck each other, their leaders united. Devilware glares through the environment with its harsh grip, while Angelware steadies himself gently with two clashers in his own company. As the environment grew shallow, their battle began.

Both feuded with restless gestures as they glimpsed each other with no mercy. Even one defect doesn’t stop them from protecting their kingdom. That is, until Devilware unintentionally lowered his guard.

Angelware perceived his own chance as he furrowed his sword onto Devilware’s wings, leaving him vulnerable. Devilware grunted in pain as he kneeled on the ground, feeling susceptible. Angelware felt a sense of gratification as he sealed their sword beside him, but once he turned around to glance at Devilware’s vulnerability, he vanished out of thin air. Despite his wings having ceased, he managed to retreat under Angelware’s attack as he urged him not to spread too much bruising into his frame.

Devilware headed to his territory as he grunted in pain from his torn-out wings, as if he could barely move his own posture. The wounded wing stumps bled down his own will. It hurts like fire, and burns with anguish. His cold, mechanical hands held his wounded stumps firmly to recover as he murmured to himself:

[“...I never apprehended that angel to be this ferocious. I’d intend to abstain from his altered behaviour if he ever takes that action against me.”]

The followers of Heaven and Hell perished into corpses as none of them lived. It was unclear how this happened, but it was clear that neither heaven nor hell won the war.

Angelware and Devilware never interacted with each other after the war until the present day, especially the incident where their followers perished for unknown reasons. Angelware, however, felt wrong about his own actions, but chose not to elaborate and set his own guilt aside until further confrontation. Their goal now is to send afterlife mortals to their assigned nirvanas according to their deeds. Whether they would be sent to the heavenly gates or to the pits of hell. Moreover, both Angelware and Devilware refuse these afterlife mortals to work with them as they do not want to cause war yet again.
