Work Text:
Mabel normally didn't look up to the ceiling at night disturbed by her thoughts that was more of a Dipper thing but right now she was just doing that. The subject was of course gruncle Ford. He appeared in their life suddenly just a little bit ago and Dipper has been always thinking about him trying to find a way to get to talk to him and he succeeded. They were playing dungeons dungeons and more dungeons nonstop and it was getting to her a bit. She hoped she'd get along with gruncle Ford but she didn't even get to be around her much and even worse she couldn't hang out with Dipper for a while now because he was around gruncle Ford instead. She knew she was being ridiculous and that they had every right to hang out after all they both had similar interests and Dipper wanted to meet with the author all summer. Gruncle Ford didn't have to like her either after all she was only silly she wasn't like Dipper. Still she was so excited to meet with her gruncle Ford obviously but he didn't even seem like he remembers her existence.
Mabel was getting very sleepy her thoughts started to mix not making any sense then she fell into a dreamless sleep.
-------------------------------
Mabel was just writing on her diary about their latest adventure aka the one which dungeons dungeons and more dungeons game characters came to life and she and gruncle Stan played the game to save Dipper and gruncle Ford. Though her gruncle Ford suddenly appeared at the doorway.
"Dipper is not here he's hanging out with Wendy."
Mabel just said not looking up from her diary. She was writing the part when gruncle Stan successfully got a 38.
"I wasn't here to see Dipper."
Mabel looked up hearing that she was a bit surprised if she was being honest. She watched as her gruncle Ford approached her he was holding few different and beautiful flowers.
"I was outside and decided maybe I could pick some flowers for you."
He said smiling Mabel was just slightly shocked. It was a sweet gesture but it was one she didn't expect. She smiled too.
"Thanks gruncle Ford."
She said taking the flowers. Ford mumbled something about still being busy and waved Mabel a shy goodbye before leaving Mabel to do what she was doing before. Mabel just smiled she went to the kitchen to get a cup. She poured water into the cup and put the flowers in. She didn't want the flowers to wilt immediately. She was definitely going to add the flowers to her scrapbook once they're dried though. She went back to writing in her diary looking at the flowers in the cup from time to time smiling.
