Chapter 1: The Lost Mask
It’s the morning, the birds are chirping outside and the sun is shining bright. “AHHHHHH” Sal yawns, stretching as he gets out of bed. He goes and grabs his mask on his side table but realizes it’s not there. “Um, babe?” Sal shouts from the bedroom. “Yes sweetheart?” A voice softly shouts back. “Where is my mask?” It suddenly goes quiet so Sal repeats what he said. “Where’s my mask?” Still no reply. Sal gets up and walks to the kitchen to see his beautiful boyfriend, Travis, in the kitchen making breakfast. Travis then looks up from the stove and smiles at Sal. “Oh, good morning sweetheart!” Sal walks over and kisses Travis’ forehead. “Good morning Travioli.” He puts his hands around Travis’ waist and watches him cook the eggs and bacon. “So… Where’s my mask?” Sal asks, not taking his eyes off the cooking food. “Oh, I don’t know… Maybe you misplaced it?” “No, I never misplace my mask. We have to look for it!” Sal starts to panic, letting go of Travis’ waist and looking around, checking every corner and every cabinet in the kitchen. “Where the hell is it?” Travis then puts a hand on Sal’s shoulder. “Sal. Just chillax for a second. We can look for it after you eat.” Sal reluctantly agrees and sits down at the table. Travis then serves him a delicious plate of eggs, bacon, and fruit. Sal wolfs down the breakfast and then stands up. “I need to find my mask.” Travis looks at him with worry in his eyes and cups his hands around Sal’s face. “You don’t need your mask, you know that, right? You’re beautiful just the way you are.” Sal sighs, and pushes Travis’ hands off of his face. “I know you think I’m beautiful, but what about what other people think? Hm? Getting judged everyday isn’t easy!” Sal then stands up and storms off. “Sal, honey, wait! I didn’t mean it like that!” But before Travis could even finish his sentence, Sal was gone. “I’m such a bad boyfriend.” Travis whispers to himself as he sits down and slumps his head down on the table.
Back in the bedroom, Sal was tearing everything apart trying to find his mask. “Where is my mask!?” Sal kept repeating to himself. He checked everywhere, everything, but still no mask. After an hour of searching, Sal gave up and threw himself onto the bed where he would lay for another hour. Then, all of the sudden, Sal heard a knock at the door. “Leave me alone.” Sal groaned. “Oh, okay…” Travis said from the other side of the door and walked away. “I need to find his mask…” Travis muttered to himself as he went back to the kitchen. He sat down at the table again, thinking of where it could be until something tapped his shoulder. “AH!” He gasped, whipping his head around to see… Somebody wearing a fully black suit, holding Sal’s mask. “Hey! Give that to me!”
Travis tried to snatch the mask but failed. “Ah, ah, ah… You aren’t getting this mask.” The figure said, holding the mask up. “Fine then… I’ll just take this!” Travis then snatched the figures ski mask off and revealed their face. His eyes widened.
