°•°•°Rougly six months after transferring to the new world°•°•°
Ainz ooal gown gazed across the sandy dunes of Katze plains, behind him the legions of the Baharuth empire stood, their hearts pounding in their chests as the ominous aura of the sorcerer in front of them leaked. He didn't bother summoning his own army, he felt that what he was about to do was enough to plunge fear into the kingdom.
Nimble Arc Dale Anoch looked beside him, which already took enough effort as his eyes landed on the towering man that is Ainz Ooal Gown. "T-the troops are ready, lord Ainz"
Ainz doesn't spare him a glance, instead he nods "Very well, once i cast this spell i need your men to brace themselves, wouldn't want them to get blown off now would we?" he humorlessly joked.
Nimble shivered "O-of course lord Ainz" He goes back to his men and relays his orders.
Suddenly layers upon layers of magic barriers surrounded them, surrounding the whole of Katze plains, protecting the army of Baharuth and a certain group of people in the kingdom.
°•°•°Army of Re-estize's headquarters°•°•°
King Ramposa III looked ahead in puzzlement, him, Climb, Brain Unglaus , Gazef Stronoff and a group of nobles which included marquis Raeven were cut off from their own army, a noticeably thick layer of magic separating them.
Climb attempted to go through the barrier but it was as hard as the hardes of adamantite steel. "What the hell is this? Gazef-san any idea?"
Gazef touched the barrier. "No, i haven't seen sir Gown do anything similar to this..."
Brain spoke up "Maybe... he's isolating us from them... break them up first then land the killing blow... but how?"
Gazef shook his head. "No idea, i just know that things are gonna get messy..."
From the other side Marquis Boullope approached them, "Your majesty! can you hear me?!"
Gazef answered instead "We can hear you loud and clear Marquis Boullope! what is going on out there"
The noble looked at the army of the Baharuth empire. "They seem to be preparing for some kind of last minute preparations, Your majesty, any orders?"
The king thought for a moment, before answering "Hold steady, when the sorcerer casts his spell then you charge forth" Part of him knew it was futile, but the best he can do is give them any kind of order, to avoid his soldiers panicking.
°•°•°Back to the army of the Baharuth empire°•°•°
A gate opened up to the left of Ainz, and out came Mare Bello Fiore. "The preparations h-have been place lord Ainz." Ainz looks at Mare before patting him in the head. "Very good Mare, now then.. we shall begin"
"Back in yggdrasil this weapon was used for crowded targets, and the fact that it can't be cancelled will help just in case there are players in the kingdom.." Ainz pulled out some kind of black rectangular object, he presses a button before speaking to it. "Demiurge, is it ready?"
°•°•°Demiurge°•°•°
°•°•°Near the planet's exosphere°•°•°
Demiurge answers Ainz's call by holding down one of the buttons at the control panel. "Yes lord Ainz, we should be eclipsing the sun right now"
Just as Demiurge says that a black spot appeared in front of the sun, darkening the surroundings as soldiers of both sides look up to see a moon of some sort covering the sun.
"What- what the hell is that thing???" Nimble looked on in terror before asking Ainz. "L-lord Ainz, you're not gonna drop that on them are you...?"
"No reactions from anyone, usually when the Death star approaches players will cast as many shields on themselves as much as possible" Ainz thought to himself before he looked at Nimble. "No, of course not, that's just our space station, we call it the Death Star" Nimble looked at Ainz, even more terror creeping up his bones. "D-death star...Space station..?"
Ainz laughed "Don't worry, ill make sure to bring you and your emperor to it after this"
Ainz held up his communicator and spoke as the now named Death star completely ecplises the sun. "Demiurge, fire, single reactor ignition"
Demiurge's voice crackles right after. "Understood Lord Ainz"
°•°•°The death star°•°•°
Demiurge looks up to the various demons working on the station before commanding. "Initiate firing procedure, single reactor ignition"
Various demons started the procedure, locking in on the target as the charge up begins. Demiurge smirks. "This will be glorious"
During testing of the weapon a single reactor ignition was enough to wipe out an entire continent, and so it was decided that thick magic barriers would be placed around the entire plains of Katze protecting the empire and some people of the kingdom Ainz deemed to important to kill as of now.
Demiurge approaches the viewing area of the station. "Lord Ulbert, if only you were here to see this glorious event"
Ainz is excited, not because people are about to die but because he gets to see the death star in action, arguably the most iconic space based weapon ever. "Most spells are not done justice in the game, even the simplest ones in here quite flashy, i can't wait"
He looks up once again, seeing the death star's superlaser charge up with a red glow. "Hm? i could have sworn it was green"
Then in a split second, the darkened surroundings was lit up as a massive beam of energy fired right at the center of the plains, its sound is something that can't be described but it was guaranteed to be ingrained into the minds of it's witnesses, the sand rapidly heated turning into glass shards shooting outwards and into the soldiers of the empire, whom in a split second were turned into nothing but dust as the shockwave of the impact slammed into the barriers, throwing off millions of tons of sand, glass and solid stone as the inside of the barriers turned into what Ainz would later describe as a blender of corpses and debris. The ground shook as the barriers contained the explosion, one that without them, would have annihilated the entire continent minus the tomb.
And just like that, more than 200,000 soldiers of the Re-estize kingdom are no more, the king and the others can't help but look on in terror, the usually calm and steady Gazef stronoff had a look of primal fear as he watches hundreds of thousands of lives lost in one shot.
°•°•°Baharuth Empire°•°•°
°•°•°The emperor's room seconds before firing°•°•°
Jircniv Rune Farlord El-Nix watches in awe as some kind of moon covers the sun in it's entirety. "Oi old man, any idea as to what that thing is?" He asks glancing at the wizard Fluder Paradyne. "I CAN FEEL IT! SO MUCH POWER!!!! LORD JIRCNIV! YOU MUST NOT BLINK WHEN YOU SEE THIS!!!!" The old man then turned to babbling about mana in the machine.
Jircniv rolls his eyes as he looks back at the army, the darkened surroundings not making it easy to see anything. "Just what are you doing Ainz Ooal Gown.."
Suddenly everything turned bright, a bright red beam striking the center of the plains, and all that Jircniv can see was a rising tower of dust and rock.
"What... what kind of monster.." Fluder's rambling got louder as he looked at the absolute destruction happening right at their doorstep.
"And that sound, what kind of sound was that, how can such a thing exist in this world.."
He looks up as the humungous weapon starts moving aside, casting light upon the plains once again
"HOW?! HOW CAN SOMEONE BUILD THAT THING?!!!!!" Jircniv was on the verge of loosing his mind, trying to comprehend the fact that he had just seen the biggest weapon the world had ever seen.
"A weapon big enough to block out the sun.. just what the hell is he..?"
Because of the barriers, a concentrated stream of rock and dust flew through the atmosphere of the new world, going further than death star itself as Demiurge watches in awe alongside the guardians watching via the mirror of remote viewing.
This went on for a few more minutes before it slowed down. Enough that the barriers can be dropped.
Once again demiurge's voice was heard through the communicator. "Lord Ainz, we expect some debris falling back into the planet for the next 5 years, anything we should do about it?"
Ainz thought for a moment. "Have the TIE-fighters deal with them if they get too close, can't have our citizens get harmed " He answered as he signals Mare to call off the barrier.
"Very well lord Ainz" Demiurge replies.
Ainz looked at the view as the barriers were finally dropped, smaller debris falling on their surroundings as he examined the damage to the plains. "Hm, i'll have Mare clean this up, won't be much trouble for him i hope.."
Ainz all of a sudden started laughing proudly. "Applaud my power! I demand it!"
Mare smiled brightly before clapping his hands, a few seconds ticked by before one soldier from the empire started clapping his, he was then followed by the rest of the army as they all hesitantly clapped their hands. Trying to forget the fact that they just witnessed the deaths of hundreds of thousands of soldiers in one shot.
Ainz looked at Mare proudly before speaking to Demiurge again. "Demiurge, move the station aside, we need light down here"
The voice of Demiurge crackled out of the device as he answered. "Understood lord Ainz"
The skies brightened once again as the death star finally moved out of the sun's way, and now they can see the destruction they cause, in the middle of it all was a massive crater of molten rock and glass, no sign of a single body as Ainz casted fly on himself.
"Mare, I trust you can clean this up?" He asks the druid to which he nodded eagerly "I will do my best lord Ainz!"
Ainz chuckled softly. "Now then, time to visit an old friend"
He said to himself as he starts flying towards the tent of the King, where he knew Gazef would be.
