Chapter 1: The Beginning of the End

Chapter Text

As the sun began to set on Tokyo city the number one hero, Endeavor, dashed through the sky with his two rookies behind him and his son. Bakugo, Midoriya, and Todoroki had been trying all day to solve more crime than Endeavor, but alas, they never could.

Currently, the trio was trailing behind Endeavor in search of conflict in northern Tokyo.

“GOD DAMNIT! We’ve been walking for an hour and there hasn’t been any dang villains!” Bakugo screamed in a typical fashion.

Midoriya, ever the peace keeper, tried to calm down the ever aggressive Pomeranian.

“Kachann, it’s actually a good thing that there isn’t any crime! Means the streets are safe!”

Endeavor chimed in with his deep voice.

“As much as Bakugo’s screeching is annoying, he has a point. Tokyo not having any criminal activity is highly unlikely. And if you two stop yapping, we might actually get to see the crime.”

As Todoroki slowly walked ahead of the group, he heard the voices fade behind him as the aroma of soba his nostrils. The smell was so inviting that it lead him to a small soba stand.

Todoroki was about to order, when he saw a dilemma occur in the corner of his eye. Todoroki looked to the side and saw two figures get into a small argument.

Before another second could pass, Todoroki ran into the alleyway to put a halt to this dilemma. (And partly to stick it to his Dad.)

“Get the hell off me!” The taller guy in the alley screamed at the smaller one.

The little one seemed shocked at his reaction and quickly flew a bag of suspicious white powder in the middle of them. Todoroki saw this all unfold and quickly jumped into action.

Todoroki quickly used his quirk to create an ice block in between the two. He even placed his ice block to lift the white powder in the middle of them. Then he caught the smaller guy on the ground by holding him in ice and for the bigger guy he-

Wow.

The bigger guy was only a bit taller than Todoroki, but the only thing the ice prince could focus on was his beautiful dark green hair that was the color of a bonsai tree and his light green eyes that reflected his swooning face. But most importantly , it was his kind look that complimented the scattered freckles upon his soft face. Everything about his face seemed to lull him into a daze.

He was staring so long that he didn’t realize that a third guy snuck around him and put him into a chokehold. Thankfully, Todoroki reacted by pullin him away with his ice.

The only one left was the bigger guy who looked scared and somewhat relieved at Todoroki’s presence.

Then, Endeavor came onto the scene.

“Shoto, what happened here?” The old man said as he scanned the situation.

Todoroki quickly composed himself in order to brief his old man on the situation.

“What seems to have happened is that these two guys got into a fight about that particular substance,” he says while pointing accordingly.

As Endeavor grabbed the powder from ontop of the ice block, Midoriya and Bakugo caught up with the extremely fast number one hero.

“THERES NO WAY YOU BEAT ME!” said a familiar angry voice. Bakugo, as usual, got real close to Todoroki’s face and began to yell about how he could’ve “beaten Todoroki any day of the week” and how he “demanded a rematch”.

By then the bigger guy had decided to speak up.

“This guy right here was trying to sell me quirk enhancement drugs.” The bigger guy screamed out.

“WHAT! WHO the hell do you think you are!” The smaller guy shot back.

By then, Endeavor had become sick of this whole situation.
“Silence,” said Endeavor, “I will be arresting you and the knocked out guy and you” he pointed at the bigger guy “You will be taken into questioning.”

Midoriya, hearing all of this, gave his usual kind and friendly smile to the bigger guy and asked for his name.

“Tayo, my name is Tayo Watanabe.” He said with an awkward smile.

That name alone almost made Todoroki swoon. He chimed in.

“I can ride with him to the police station.” Todoroki asked, hoping his father would say yes.

“I don’t see why that’s necessary. The Police will do just fine handling a civilian.” Endeavor said sternly.

“I think it would be best to keep and eye on him, plus I can provide the police with my eye witness.”

Endeavor rolled eyes.

“Fine, but make it quick. We need to get back to training.”
