Howard was done, just done! His latest dream hadn't nearly been fun. Eternal consciousness? Quite the drag, really. You watch everyone and everything you know rot and decay, and all you can do is hold them while you have the time.
Well he's not letting that get him down! He'll love and cherish his friends with all his might! He'll love them through day and night! Sunshine and rain! Sickness and health!
Phillip was drinking his morning coffee in the kitchen. Angelique had probably just finished eating her breakfast in her own home. It was raining outside.
Howard loved Phillip, and Angelique, and the rain. God can suck it, Howard was having a good day today, no matter what.
