Work Text:

General Guy, Sergent Guy, and Captain Shy guy were all in The Shy Guy's Toy Box. Obviously, they were doing extremely evil and serious and important Shy Guy things. They were definitely not just hanging out together. Definitely not.

Everything was pretty chill, the 3 of them talked about random things and shared random stories. A lot of all of their stories involved some guy named Mario. Huh, odd.

However, General Guy was a little... off that day. He was a bit more slow and tired then usual, his voice was a bit hoarse and painful, and he had frequent coughing fits and sneezes. He tried to hide the fact he wasn't feeling great, but it wasn't working very well.

Captain shy guy had started to pick up on the fact that something was wrong with General Guy.

"You seem unwell." Captain Shy Guy commented.

"I am perfectly fine. Do not worry about me." General Guy Insisted.

"You're coughing a lot. Like really a lot."

"He has a point. Are you alright, General Guy?" Sergeant Guy asked.

"I can assure you I am perfectly okay! Stop worrying about me!" General Guy sternly spoke before having another coughing fit.

"You're obviously feeling sick. There's no point in denying it."

"I do not get sick! If I was, I could handle it without you pestering me about it!"

"Sir, everyone gets sick."

"Sergeant, I am THE General Guy. I have an entire army of shy guys I lead. I do NOT get sick." General Guy lectured.

Captain Shy Guy and Sergeant Guy looked at eachother. They could tell just from how hoarse his voice was, General Guy was definitely sick.

"I do not believe that at all." Captain Shy Guy said.

General Guy suddenly felt his head ache and winced at the pain. He tried to hide it, but the other two definitely noticed.

"That's it, I'm checking your temperature. You're sick." Captain Shy Guy declared, already going to get a thermometer.

"You are being extremely rude sir! My wellbeing is none of your conce-" General Guy shouted before proving himself wrong by having yet another coughing fit.

Captain Shy Guy soon came back with a thermometer (one of the forehead ones, Idk how shy guys work). General Guy slowly backed away, obviously not wanting to have his temperature taken. After some struggle from him resisting, Captain Shy Guy acctually managed to check his temperature. The thermometer beeped loudly and displayed the number "102.3⁰F"

"General Guy Sir, you have a fever and are most definitely ill. Please let us help you recover. We just want you to be healthy!"

"How many times do I have to tell you, I am fine! Get off my ba- Ow!" General Guy scolded before a turnip hit him.

"Captain, let's maybe not throw turnips at sick people."

"Sorry, he was getting on my nerves." Captain Shy Guy said.

"Whatever, anywa- General Guy?" Sergeant Guy noticed General Guy seemed to be in pain. "Sir are you okay?"

"I'm fine. I just... oww... I'm alright." General Guy mumbled. His entire body ached, he was lightheaded, and he just overall felt awful.

"Should we call a doctor?" Sergeant guy asked.

"I mean, that would make sense." Captain Shy Guy said.

[Uhhh Insert getting a doctor here cuz idfk how to write]

Sergeant Guy and the doctor ran back to where General Guy and Captain Shy Guy were. Once they got there, Sergeant Guy brought him to General Guy, who was still in horrible pain.

"Uhm- hello! I'm Medic Guy, and I'm going to help you, okay?"

General Guy just defiantly groaned in response. Medic guy asked questions about his condition (Though the other two awnsered most of them), learned his symptoms, and did some checks on him.

"Well, it's nothing serious, just a pretty common virus. It should probably clear up in the next few days." Medic Guy explained.

"Thank you Medic guy. It's relieving to hear he's alright." Sergeant Guy said.

"Oh yeah! If he wants, these can help him feel better." Medic Guy said while handing grabbing a thing of medicine out of his medical bag thingy. "Even if he doesn't take them, he'll be fine. They'll just help him feel better a little quicker."

"Thank you Medic Guy. You are very helpful." Captain Shy Guy said.

"Of course! Any time!" Medic Guy said before heading out.

Sergeant Guy turned to General Guy. He was still sitting down, looking miserable. Sergeant Guy gently put the medicine Medic Guy brought next to him.

"You don't have to take it, but you can if you want. I just want you to be okay."

General Guy mumbled something in response.

"Me and Captain Shy Guy didn't mean to pester you. We just care about your wellbeing. Alright?"

General Guy mumbled again.

"I know you don't like it, but can you please let us take care of you?"

"...fine." General Guy groaned.

"Okay. Get some rest, Sir. You need it." Sergeant Guy instructed. "We'll be here if you need us."

"...'kay"
