After a long day at Kingdom of science Ishigami Senku went back to the observatory to rest. For some reason, today felt very long and very tiring, from rocket building missions, and many other requests. He wanted to fall asleep immediately instead of stargazing like usual.
But of course when he was in the observatory, he couldn't sleep because he saw his mentali- boyfriend playing a deck of cards instead of sleeping as usual.
"Can't sleep?" Gen looked at Senku with a faint smile.
"What do you think senku-chan? Do i look ike-lay i'm sleeping?" Senku snort then he sat next to his mentalist.
"Yeah sorry for asking" Senku mumbled before he put his arms around Gen's waist and rest his head on Gen's shoulder. He wasn't in the mood to talk because today was really tiring, but being around his boyfriend made him feel a little calmer.
"Are you alright Senku-chan?"
"Yes... Just wondering, what if we met before the petrification?"
Gen ears perk up, clearly found Senku question interesting. "Well? I don't know. We're two ifferentday people, Senku. You focus on your iencescay while I'm just a magician... I don't think we-" Before Gen could finish Senku gave him a quick kiss on the lips to shut him up.
"Kukuku, of course I know that mentalist. I just said 'what if'..." Gen just rolled his eyes then he freed himself from Senku's hug.
"Yeah yeah whatever you aysay. I think it's time for us to go to bed... It's going to be a long ayday tomorrow, isn't it? And don't you have icalphysay training tomorrow for the moon mission?"
Senku just nodded then he lay down on his side, leaving space for Gen to lie down next to him.
Gen smiled, because he knew his boyfriend would be clingy if he was sleep deprived. Gen didn't say anything else but lay down next to Senku and closed his eyes.
As Gen lay down, Senku closed the distance between them, spooning him as he did that

Senku felt like he hadn't fallen asleep long before he suddenly heard the sound of an alarm. Oh wait... Since when do they have alarms? Senku was stunned for a moment before he tried to focus his gaze and look around.
"Weird...." He mumble, he was in his room, not that but in his old room before the petrification. He didn't know how to react, because what was he expecting? Could he really go back to the past? It couldn't be, right?
Before Senku could process the thought, the door to his room opened and a very familiar voice was heard. "Ishh Senku, wake up. You gonna be late for-" Senku looked towards the source of the sound and it turned out to be Byakuya. 'How?...' Senku is getting more and more confused. Byakuya, who saw his son confused, was also confused, because he had never seen Senku that confused. "Are you okay Senku?" He asked making sure his son was okay.
"Byakuya? you still alive?...." Senku was stunned, not realizing he said that out loud. He was getting more and more confused, several possibilities were running through his mind but none of them made sense. Was this just a dream? But why did it feel so real? How could he have gone back in time?
Byakuya baffled when he heard that. "What are you talking about Senku? Did you have a nightmare? Should I call the school to inform them that you're not coming today?"
"No need... I'm fine, just forget what I was saying"
Byakuya looks worried but he knows Senku won't say anything if asked. "Okay then, I'll wait downstairs. Hurry up and get ready, I'll take you to school because you're already late." He said before leaving Senku's room, making Senku immediately fall down again tired and confused.
He saw his phone on the table next to the bed and immediately took it. 12 January 2017, There are still 872 days, or more than two years, before the petrification disaster occurs. Senku could only sigh, confused and also he started to miss the lack of his boyfriend's presence next to him. But he have something to worry about besides that.
Before he could dwell on it, he remembers his father's words, he immediately got ready quickly. Well, he didn't think about going to school, he was still thinking about how he got here, and how to get back to the future.
Senku was unconscious, his whole body was moving on its own, his mind was somewhere else. Now he was at the dining table, not in the mood to touch the breakfast that Byakuya had made, still stuck in his thoughts.
"Are you sure you are fine? Because I don't see it that way. It's okay if you want to skip school for once." Byakuya breaking the silence as he looked at Senku with a serious face
"I'm fine dad." Senku insist
Byakuya could only let out a long sigh. "Okay..." He said even though he wasn't completely sure
After that Senku went to school as usual. He felt a little strange, even though this should be normal, but mentally he should be 23 years old now. Senku doesn't really care what his teacher says, because he has studied it himself and already remembers it by heart, moreover his experience in the stone world has also helped him a lot.
During class hours, all that crossed his mind were several theories, the more he thought about them, the less they made sense. When the bell rang for break, he intended to go to the library to look for journals about time travel and study quantum physics more deeply to understand the events he was experiencing.
When he got up from his seat, Taiju and Yuzuriha came over to him.
"Senku!!! We have something to tell you!" Taiju said excitedly while showing his phone to him.
"Senku-kun, Taiju and I have three tickets to the rising magician's show, do you want to come?" Yuzuriha said calmly, while next to her Taiju looked very excited and in his eyes there was hope for Senku to say yes.
Senku was a little confused actually when Taiju and Yuzuriha offered him tickets to watch a magician's show. 'Ah... I see', Senku thought. Maybe he was the only one who returned to the past, because he remembered that Taiju and Yuzuriha had also invited him to a magician's show, but of course he refused, because for him it was not important.
When he saw Taiju's phone which showed a poster of the show, for some reason this time Senku felt interested in joining in. Because the magician who is on the rise is none other than Asagiri Gen, or his boyfriend. "Yeah sure" Senku replied nonchalantly.
It was a lie, he still had a little hope that Gen would also return to the past. Because he is not strong enough to bear everything alone, he needs his mentalist who is always by his side and makes him understand about himself.
Yuzuriha and Taiju were a little confused when they heard Senku's answer that he agreed to join them. Well, it's not like that, but Taiju knows clearly that his friend hates crowded places and events like this. Senku's answer somehow made him feel something was strange, without thinking Taiju immediately grabbed Senku and shook him. "EH! WHO ARE YOU?! THE SENKU I KNOW WOULD HAVE REFUSED THIS INVITATION?!" Taiju yells a little, making Senku chuckles a little.
Well he should have prepared for this... Because in the past, he refused their invitation and they immediately understood, it must have seemed strange to them that his friend who didn't want to go anywhere suddenly agreed when they invited him to a big event.
"Taiju-kun, you make him dizzy..." Yuzuriha said before Taiju put Senku down. "Senku-kun, are you sure you'll come? Don't you hate events like this?" Yuzuriha asked softly even though her worry could be heard.
"Yeah, i'm fine with it." Senku said feeling a little dizzy, before he put his pinky finger in his ear. "Besides, I'm not a robot or anything that focuses on just one thing, it's okay if I don't focus on science for a day." Senku's statement made his two friends believe that Senku was possessed.
"Wow... Just wow..." Taiju mumble before he look at Senku "are you still Senku?"
"Yes?"
"You don't sound like him."
"Wha-" before Senku could finish it yuzuriha stop him.
"Yeah, Taiju-kun right. Senku if there is something bothering you, you can tell us. We are your best friend." Yuzuriha said as she look at Senku
Senku sigh "it's fine. Really, you both are being dramatic."
Taiju and Yuzuriha kept asking Senku the same question, until they finally got tired of it and ended up changing the topic and chatting about something else.
After the bell rang, they returned to their seats and started to focus on the lesson, but clearly Senku wasn't paying attention. He quietly played with his phone then opened the browser, looking for information about his boyfriend.
Senku didn't realize that he was smiling slightly while reading the article about Asagiri Gen. But apart from that, he also looked for information related to time travel, even though some of the journals he found didn't answer his questions, but instead added to his questions.
Senku finally lost his way, but instead of worrying about it, he'd rather focus on his studies for a while and then think about what outfit he should wear to Gen's show. Senku never cared about outfits before, but this time because he was going to Gen's performance, he was a little worried about his outfit for some reason.
Because what if Gen also went back to the past and he saw Senku's current style? Senku is ten billion percent sure that Gen will laugh at him for wearing clothes with Doraemon on them. That made Senku a little nervous, because in the past they had never met at all and this time he was a little hopeful that Gen would notice him.
Without realizing it, the bell rang, Senku could only sigh and hope that everything would go smoothly. He already had two guesses: if Gen also returned to the past, he would work with Gen and find a way to return. The second possibility was that Gen was 'Gen' who had never met him, he probably just pretend and trying to live normally and waiting for 3700 years more to meet Gen and starting all over again. Or the worst, if the petrification never happened, he just... Ugh he never wanted to think about it.
The more nervous Senku got, the faster he felt time pass. Somehow she had gotten home from school, and now she was checking herself in the mirror for the umpteenth time and making sure that her clothes were normal enough and not too weird. He was just wearing jeans and a green sweater with a white collared shirt underneath it.
After Senku felt it was right, he immediately went to the agreed location with Taiju and Yuzuriha. Yuzuriha actually noticed that Senku was dressed too neatly compared to usual, but she didn't want to mention it because she remembered Senku's reaction when they asked him why he agreed to this. 'Everyone has secrets...' Yuzuriha thought.
They took public transportation, well Senku forgot the route a bit because it had been too long, but luckily Taiju and Yuzuriha were there. Arriving at the show venue, Senku was starting to regret his decision. It's so crowded here, just standing here is draining his social battery.
Yuzuriha, who realized this first, immediately looked at Senku worriedly. "Are you sure you fine with this, Senku?"
"Mhm... Ten billion percent." Senku said that with a slightly forced smile, because being in such a crowded place was already making him anxious.
"We can go h-"
"It's fine Yuzuriha, really. Don't mind me"
"Okay, if you say so..." Yuzuriha replied, although still feeling a little bad for Senku.
Without wasting much time, they entered the venue and looked for seats according to their ticket numbers. Senku was amazed by Taiju and Yuzuriha because the tickets they bought were seats quite close to the front, so he could see the stage more clearly.
When the show started, Senku was a little bored because he wasn't interested in this at all. The host gave a brief summary of the event, well, what's clear is that Senku is becoming less and less interested. But when the star, Asagiri Gen, came on stage, many of the audience cheered him.
Gen looks so elegant and exquisite, leaving Senku stunned. Gen looked around the audience with his charismatic smile, until his gaze stopped on Senku. From there Gen cought of guard a bit before he averted his gaze and carried on with his show as usual. But from there Senku realized something, Gen also returned to the past.
Senku snort a little, this is going to be interesting... He thought as he smiles at Gen.
