A sudden loud bang followed by a flash of light came from the window. It was a pretty chilly night for the two of them, considering how a trip to the park would end up with them soaking wet in pinas unit. Noa quivered on the couch with a towel covering him as the sound of a certain someone taking a hot shower in the background kept filling up his ears and making him jealous.
"You done yet? I'm freezing! "
She yelled, slightly annoyed that he's taking forever in there. A muffled response came soon after,
"Chill, I'm coming.. No need to yell like that, "
The young man came out of the steaming hot bathroom with his tired-looking but still gorgeous face, a small towel over his neck, a random t-shirt he got from his closet, and his favorite flannel pajama pants. He shouldn't be looking this pretty for someone who ran from the heavy rain, noa stared at him for a while before he noticed,
" … what are you looking at? "
"Oh, nothing. "
"Sure.. Anyway, just grab any of my shirts and pants from the closet, "
" M'kay, thank you for letting me borrow, "
"Of course sweetheart, now go before you catch a cold"
He sat down to where noa was sitting before he stood up. He then rushed to pinas closet and picked out whatever he founds easiest to grab and went straight to the bathroom. As soon as she entered the room, the steam from pinas shower made her warmer as she prepped to go in it herself. When he turned it on, the hot water rushed down from the top of his head all the way to his feet. All the tension in her muscles disappear as she relaxed and stayed there for some time to properly clean herself up.
Even though he's done this several times, but using the same soap that Pina uses still makes him feel a bit giddy— they will both smell like each other and the thought of that will always give a smile to his face. She came out and took her time wiping herself dry, before wearing the shirt and pants she took from his closet. They all have the same relaxing scent that Pina has, making him quite embarrassed.
I should've brought some extra clothes with me.. I kinda feel guilty.. Well, not really.
The door of the bathroom creaks open, revealing the also tired looking noa. Pinas heart skipped a beat as he leaned forward and a slight blush showed up on his ears— it's common to see noa wear his clothes, but her fully being in his clothes were something else. He let's out a cough to compose himself before continuing,
"Ekhem.. Feel better? Lets go warm up a bit so we don't catch a cold, I'll grab a blanket from my room. Stay here for a sec—"
He quickly stood up and went to his room in search of a blanket that could fit both of them. He took deep breaths, trying to calm down his heart from beating out of his chest,
What are you doing?! You've seen him wear your clothes a lot already.. Why now? He looks normal.. With my clothes.. But that's it right? Please let that be it.. Just act normal.
He took a big blanket from one of the storage boxes he had in his closet and brought it out to the couch where noa was sitting and laid it over them as he sat down beside her with his arms around her shoulder, hugging her from the neck up,
"Now isn't this warm? Let's stay like this for a while, yeah? "
"Yeah.. Way warmer than before.. "
He nuzzled himself into pinas arms and having his arms around him too, which left him in quite a shock— he hasn't recovered from noa wearing his clothes, and now she's acting cute? This was genuine torture for his so called cool and playboy personality that people often see,
"You're getting me worked up.. Don't want me going crazy do we.."
".. Mm? "
"Ahah.. Just kidding, "
He gave a peck on the side of noas eye, followed by a slight giggle of amusement. Meanwhile noa, who was still not used to how pina displays his affection started slightly sweating from embarrassment and moved a tiny bit away from him,
"Come on—! You gotta stop doing that, freaks me out.."
"Won't you just let me pamper you for one bit? Please? "
He said in a pleading voice, looking all sad like a soaking wet cat in a cardboard box in the corner of a street. Noa looked away from him, because answering to his request would mean being kissed all over and that is not an experience he'd like to have with someone who teases him a lot.
"Ngh.. Fine. Just a bit though.."
What was that????? He should stop doing this to me it's so embarrassing!! Please think about what happens in my head when you do those stuff..
Noa complained in her head while still looking away from pina who has his eyes quite wide open from surprise. He thought he'd be rejected as usual, but guess someone is a bit tired and wants some praise,
"Okay okay, I won't go overboard this time, "
He then squeezed noa like how one squeezes a teddy bear before overloading him with kisses all over his face— from his forehead, temple, eyes, nose, and lastly his cheek, as the lips would be too much for someone like him. When Pina looked up to see her reaction, he was quite stunned by how "prepared" She looked with her eyes squinting and eyebrows furrowed even though she just ends up sweating and looking as red as a tomato. This honestly left him chuckling in amusement,
"Oh honey… You're adorable.."
He muzzled his head to noas before continuing in a softer voice as he closes his eyes,
"Was that too much? Im sorry, I won't do that again, "
Noa unfreezed himself after hearing his soft voice, still as caring as ever. She took a deep breath before speaking in a nervous voice,
"It's okay… It's fine, "
"Hmm…"
".. You're cute too, "
"Of course I am~ what do you expect of me? To look normal and average?"
They laughed it off together as they completely disregard the storm outside. The thunders soon became slightly louder, making them both look at the window which led outside— the storm was quite strong, with powerful winds, heavy rain, and loud thunders which became more and more uncomfortable as time goes on. Noas face visibly turned from cheery to unpleasant as he looked outside. Pina followed along her eyes, looking for what made his mood down,
If only the thunders were quieter, I don't like seeing the stupid absent-minded face he makes.
He thought to himself, thinking of ways to better the situation. Would a hug work? No he would just get pushed away, what about some flirty remarks? That'll end up with her leaving, what do people do during storms… oh! An idea rushed to his head,
"Wanna watch a movie? "
Noas eyebrows perked up, that was an unexpected suggestion,
"What kind..? "
"You pick, "
"I have no suggestions.. "
"Hm… "
He pondered about it for a while, the easiest answer would be a movie that they both liked to get the mood better, but knowing Pina, that would be too easy of a solution. The kind of movies that would feed his ego is of the following,
"How about horror or thriller? "
".? That's rare of you to suggest, I thought you'd go for a melodrama or something, "
"I've been interested into horrors and thrillers for a while now, bill had been wanting to go with me and aoba to watch this new movie but I wanted to prep myself beforehand, is that okay with you? "
"Sure, of course—!"
"Okay then, go on and make some popcorn if you want, you can find them in the upper right cabinet, "
Noa went ahead and did what he said, she was already tired from pinas antics and the rain to over think all this. Meanwhile Pina just looked smug while noa was in the kitchen making the popcorn, this is a verrry common trick he did multiple times before noa came to him. He adjusted the blanket to cover both of them and picked the movie on the TV screen, finding something not too chilly to make noa cry but just enough to make him come closer to him.
Noa hippety-hopped back to the couch with a bowl of popcorn and sat closely to Pina but not to the point of touching. She kinda knew the reason why he picked horror was to just build up his ego, but dealing with it would be way harder than just going along with it. Pina scanned noas body language— not really catching on to what's happening in his head which was pretty annoying. He just sighs and presses play on the movie he picked.
Throughout the movie, a couple of scenes had noa flinching, but she kept her distance to not go and play along with pinas antics. He was of course slightly disappointed, but not too much that it would show on his face. In fact he was a bit surprised noa reacted this well.
Oh god can this end already?? It's creeping me out but I don't wanna go along with his plan… ugh what do I do!!!! This is creepy..
Noa whined in her head as she focused on the TV screen. Pina tried to focus, but waiting for noa to react was more entertaining. His stare was quite intense, it doesn't seem like he's focusing at the movie at all. Now caught onto this, why is he even looking at him anyway? To scan every pore on his face? To admire his beauty? No way.. Right?
She felt uncomfortable with someone looking like he's staring deeply into her soul, she turned her eyes to him and asked,
"What are you looking at me for..? "
"Oh nothing~ Just get back to watching, "
Noa sighed and did what he said, focusing back on the screen in front of them.
Time passed until the climax of the movie came, and at this point noa was leaned back on the couch, not wanting to continue this 'streak' of not leaning on to pina for anything. he leaned his head to pinas shoulder with the face of someone who got 2nd place and has a 2 point difference from the 1st place winner. While pina as the obvious winner in this starts talking in a somewhat proud voice,
"Aww, you tired? Just lean onto me more, "
"You evil… "
"Of course, who do you think I am? Now just relax, you did way better than I expected you to, "
He moved his arm around noas shoulder and gave her encouraging pats and rubs. The movie continued on and as soon as it finished, noa gave a huge sigh of relief,
"I'm glad that's over.. That was terrifying.. I don't wanna sleep tonight, "
"That was a bit more intense than I thought, sorry to put you through all that,"
"You should be—! I was shivering from every time they play that eerie music…"
He giggled at noas remark, he really did put her through a lot that day, from running in the rain to leaving her all alone while watching a genre she generally didn't like? Noa would've kicked his ass if they weren't this close with each other. He patted noas head before saying in a gentle voice,
"I'll hug you extra tight tonight so you won't be caught by any of those monsters, alright? I won't tease you this time, "
"Why are you all serious now? "
"I want to apologize~ can't I? "
"Ugh.. Sure, I'll forgive you in the morning, "
The both then watched something less frightening and shorter to get ready for bed. The film ended off with the both of them feeling drowsy, and warm inside, making them forget about the horrors of the previous one they watched. Noa suddenly got up and walked away from the couch as pina watched in confusion, he's usually the one who would lead the two,
"Where are you going?.. "
"To bed....? Where else would I go, "
"Oh you should've said so—"
He also got up from his seat and said warmly as he reached onto noas shoulders from behind,
"Let's go brush our teeth first~ don't want that popcorn stuck while we sleep, "
"Oh yeah.. Forgot about that, "
They quickly went to the bathroom and brushed their teeth together, it was about 2am which is a tad bit late for noas schedule— he became all sluggish and tired-looking which honestly gave pina a quick laugh,
I thought he would stay up later than this.. He sure sleeps early,
In the end, pina held up noa like someone holding their really drunk friend. He carried her all the way to his bed and dropping her with a loud thump onto the pillows and blanket,
"Ow—! "
"Sorry, sorry... I still haven't lifted that much weight yet so I'm not that strong.. "
"You could've dropped me more gracefully, you meanie, "
"You keep referring to me as some sort of evil being.. You're the meanie—! "
"Nuh uh, im rarely ever rude to you, while you always tease me a bunch, "
"... Okay, you got me... I am a meanie... "
He raised both of his arms up in the air in surrender with a pout on his face before climbing onto the bed, lying down behind noa,
"Now c'mere you.. I may be a meanie but I don't break my promises, "
He pulled him closer by the waist, nuzzling his head into the space between his shoulder and neck. Meanwhile noas whole body jerked in shock, her heart beat increased and ears became visibly more red.
"H-hey—! Don't just pull me in like that!! "
"Ouh~ someone here is a bit shy, "
"... "
"Ahaha—! Okay okay I won't tease you anymore tonight~ "
He gave noa a biiiiig squeeze, maybe a bit too big. He covered the both of them under the blanket and had their legs intertwine before nudging himself to her a little more, as if he wanted them to merge together into one body. A sudden kiss on the nape as a goodnight, meanwhile the recipient's whole body shivered at the kiss. Pina giggled at noas reaction before closing his eyes and letting his mind wonder away as he sleeps.
Saying he won't tease me but he did it anyway... What a liar! Ugh— ...it's too comfy to get out and move.. He'll whine again if I do anyway.. Maybe it's better to just stay...
He closes his eyes, making more excuses in his head about actually liking being held as one does. The warmth of their bodies made her sleepy, and eventually making her sleep too. As the thunders kept roaring outside, they were in their own little bubble away from and loud noises or bright lights, letting them rest easily throughout the night.
