Work Text:
Life was never quiet.
Not when mama was around. She'd talk to me all day. 'I love you,' she'd say everyday. But if you truly meant it, You wouldn't have left me behind, would you?
It was even more deafening when they were thrown onto a stage. A crowd of all, mesmerized by the sheer effort into their performance. A performance of a dance. Admired from far and near, they couldn't really be mad for the deafening roars and cheers that always engulfed the stage whenever they were on stage. Although, they would appreciate it if they would refrain themselves from smoking inside.
This time, it was more quiet. Well, as quiet as it could've been. Was it noisy? Sure. Would they had rather chose to run away? Never! Though living with another species set on destroying their own is quite disturbing to think about. that out of the way, their guardians were constantly bickering. which was partly their fault... Still, they tried to keep them from arguing by using their none-other than 'Cupid heart!' However, they probably should've improved their aim. If they had, Maybe then this place would have been less insufferable.
It was noisy? They could care less. Love had made its way to them with heart-warming arms. In the form of a cheater love-sick guy. Well, love-sick or not, they were happy. More happy than when they were cuddled to oblivion, more than when they were adored, more than when everyday was filled with fun. They could care less if he even decided to be possessive or aggressive towards them. That would mean he still cared, wouldn't it?
wouldn't it?
wouldn't... It..
...
That's fine! Love is love.
Life is not fair. Nor is it quiet. There are rules on how to live. And rule number one is to know that having kindness and naivety is a curse. A curse that is very easy to avoid. But not for them. Because it is the hardest thing to avoid. Every thing had been shoved into their head ever since birth. Cause and effect, consequences, whatever deemed to be great knowledge. Surely the world would have a little mercy and quiet down...
And there they go breaking the first rule again. The world had somehow agreed and now life was deafeningly silent. Silent because their planet had exploded. Yay. Surely life could not get any louder from here.
Apparently, it could get louder. Now, they are in literal hell. Like the place. Surprisingly, they had survived for a while. They wondered if the demons would even eat them? They weren't human that the demons think taste delicious, they were a convertible robot not even from earth. It could not possibly get worse, right?
