Chapter Text
"You should come back once a week, so I can check up on your wound." Honami's calendar was already laying opened on the front desk. Her finger glid on the smooth paper, as she searched for a fitting time. "Let's see... Does next thursday, 4pm work with you?" While waiting for the answer of the patient with the painful-looking wound on their arm, she was searching for the 'right' pen to use for writing down the assignment. "Yes, I should be free at that time." Honami was able to write their name down, before a knight came in, in a hurry. "We need a nurse as soon as possible! There was a fight—“ They weren't lying, there was fight— just not as big like expected. Honami was the only nurse that was free at the moment. She didn't have a big clinic. It was a simple building, with two rooms to work in and only one other nurse, after Honami's mother has passed. There were two people getting held down by some knights, but the knights seemed as healthy as can be. It didn't take long for Honami to bandage them up. She was already about to leave again, before her gaze caught a young man— possibly a knight, next to a tree. It appeared that his nose is bleeding, so naturally, Honami would walk up to him. The young man himself, wasn't paying attention to her, until she started talking to him. "Excuse me, sir. Were you involved in the fight? It seems you're having an epistaxis—" It took him a moment to respond. With a slightly amused expression, he asked her back: "You mean my nose bleed?" His voice was softer than expected, almost sounding like a woman. It made Honami wonder a bit, but she nodded before he continued. "I don't think it's bad, but it can't harm to get it checked by you." She hummed an okay, while her smile softened a bit in relief. While checking up on him, Honami noticed how the knight's face appeared more feminine from up close. But every knight is male, aren't they? And he didn't seem to be correcting her, so she better not point it out just to be wrong in the end. Luckily, the nurse had brought an ice packet with her. She explained the knight, how cooling down the neck helps by tightening the vessels, before handing the small packet of ice over. The knight thanked her while taking the ice. Before the two could continue their interaction, someone called Honami back over. As she was walking away, she glanced back once to meet their glance again. With a gentle both-sided smile, the two had said a silent bye.
