Chapter Text
Homura was pleased with herself. She had saved Madoka and became evil itself. Now there would be no hesitation from Madoka once she remembers.
Homura knew that Madoka will one day remember, and that she will kill her. But that didn't matter to Homura. As long as Madoka could live a happy life, then everything was worth it.
Homura did say she was pleased with herself, but there was one problem. Madoka was a divine being. A God of hope and salvation, and Homura was a demon, the very concept of evil, everything that Madoka had fought against.
It was only natural that Madoka's magic was trying to erase her. It was only a tiny sliver of her power. A fraction of a fraction of a fraction. And yet it was nearly killing her.
Multiple of her organs were already failing. But that was fine. All she needed to do was accommodate Madoka's magic into something more demonic.
Homura hated the very idea of turning even a part of Madoka into something demonic. But it had to be done.
She had to create a new world. A world where Madoka could be watched and be safe. Homura couldn't forget that Madoka was too selfless. If she had the chance to save someone she would, even if it cost her her own life.
Sighing to herself, Homura couldn't help but silently complain to herself. She didn't hate that Madoka was selfless, it was Madoka, there was nothing Homura could ever hate about her.
But she still complained about being left alone and having to watch her die and she could do nothing. Now she had the power to truly do something. To truly save Madoka and give her something close to a normal life.
Reaching out a hand to the starless space, she began rewriting the universe. Homura didn't stop there, she rewrote all the dimensions connected to the universe. Higher or lower, it didn't matter. Even with how unstable Madoka's magic was, Homura had years of experience.
She skillfully created a new world. A world just for Madoka. It had evil creatures called demons. They were similar to Homura in a way. These demons had been born human and turned demonic in a turn of events.
But unlike her, most of these demons were innocent. A person who had no other choice and was forced to change.
She created a new vessel for her and Madoka. Of course she wouldn't forget about Madoka's friends, Homura created new vessels for them too.
While making these new vessels, Homura realised that Madoka's true body had nowhere to go.
Homura set her eyes on creating a new dimension. It existed in a higher plane and was different from other dimensions. It was neither infinite in size nor was it finite.
The inside of the dimension was Madoka's room. It was repeating infinitely.
Homura knew that Madoka loved her parents and brother, so she made sure to create rooms just for them.
But wouldn't Madoka be upset if her friends were left without rooms of their own? Homura couldn't have Madoka feeling bad for being the only one with a room.
So regretfully, Homura created another dimension. It was smaller, only being big enough to fit ten small apartments. But that was all they needed.
Unlike Madoka's dimension where Homura made sure everything was perfect, that the bed and all the plushies felt perfect to the touch. The others were just average. Not any to complain about, but also nothing that stood out as good.
Homura could feel the divinity corrupt even more of her. Now even her heart and lungs had died. It didn't matter, she didn't need them anyways.
She had thought about creating a dimension of her own, but she didn't deserve one. Not after everything she had done.
She had ruined Madoka's sacrifice. Pulled her down from the heavens and stripped her of her memories.
Homura deserved to die. But she wouldn't, not until Madoka had lived the life she deserved. And only then will she be satisfied, only then would she accept whatever fate Madoka has for her.
Smiling to herself, Homura began falling into a slumber. A slumber she would only wake up from once the divinity would no longer try to kill her.
