Chapter Text
Sakura slowly makes his way back to his futon.
He was leaning against the wall so he wouldn’t fall, because we all know how it went before he tried using the wall to support himself.
Sakura’s knees gave out below him as he finally made it back to his futon.
He knew he wasn’t some weakling that couldn’t handle their own injuries, so why did he feel so weak right now? Had he grown soft during his time here in Makochi?
He looked at the water bottle in his hand and slowly twisted the cap off, groaning at the amount of strength he had to use just to open it. Since he now has a more limited amount of strength, due to his injuries, it’ll be harder for him to do things on his own.
Sakura grits his teeth as he takes a big gulp of water followed by even more. He basically just downed the whole bottle in one go! When had he become so thirsty? Why was his throat so dry even after he just gulped that whole bottle of water down?
This is all too much to think about right now. His head is pounding and the light coming in from the window is all too blinding for him at this moment.
He sighs softly. Guess he’ll just have to wait until he gets more healed so he can get back to fighting.
Sakura, with how exhausted he was, laid back down onto his futon, closing his eyes and letting sleep take over his body.

Sakura woke to the soft sound of shuffling in his room followed by the sound of multiple voices.
Did someone break into his house?! I mean, there’s no actual lock on the door, but still!
At the moment, he’s too weak and vulnerable to protect himself and he still doesn’t even have the strength to open his eyes. He was simply too weak to do anything.
Sakura tried to wiggle his fingers, to get any movement in his body like if he did that, it would automatically start up again like an engine. He could feel that his strength was slowly starting to come back and he’ll be able to move his body soon.
He was just about to slightly peak open his eyes to get a good view on the people that entered his place when gentle hands started to softly shake him, trying to wake him up.
“Sakura-san..” A soft voice called out to him. That must be who was shaking him.
The more the voice shook and called out, the more Sakura became aware of his surroundings. He finally realized that it was Nirei that was calling out to him.
He slowly opened his eyes.
“Good morning sleepyhead.” A slightly deeper voice said from next to Nirei. It was Suo. Of course he was here, and by the sound of more voices in the background, Tsugera and Kiryu were here as well.
Sakura shut his eyes again. He could feel a headache start to comeback at just the mere thought of how loud this group was together. He definitely did NOT want to deal with all of that screaming at this moment….. or at all.
Sakura tried to drown out the voices that were still shaking him awake.
“Uuuughh…” He moaned out. “One more minute…” He turned over onto his stomach and put a pillow over his head.
Suo and Nirei looked at each other for a second before bursting out laughing. They couldn’t believe that their grade captain would act like such a baby in the mornings.
“Sakura-san~” Suo said softly although in a teasing tone. “It’s time to get up and take some medicine”
“And change your bandages!” Nirei jumped in excitedly.
Sakura groans in response. “Just go away…” Sakura mumbles as he pulls the pillow tighter over his head, trying to cover his ears. His migraine was getting too much for him to handle, right now, and all this now isn’t helping, either.
Nirei and Suo look between each other. “Sakura-san…” Nirei says softly.
Suddenly a big chill came over Sakura as his blanket was suddenly pulled off of him.
“Hey!” Sakura yelled almost immediately. “What was that?!” He yelled once more, immediately turning around to see who the perpetrator was but just found a smiling Tsugeura with a blanket in his and.
“Come on, Sakura! It isn’t good to sleep off your important responsibilities, especially if they’re about taking care of yourself! It’s one of my virtues! To always take care of yourself and others!”
Gosh, Tsugeura was WAY too loud for this early in the morning.
“What time is it?” Sakura sighed disappointedly, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes with a small yawn.
“It’s 10:23 AM.” Someone said from behind Tsugeura. It was Kiryu. “You’re lucky that we let you sleep in for so long. You know that you’re kinda bleeding through your bandages, right?” He says, pointing down at Sakura’s chest.
There’s some fresh looking blood seeping through his bandages. All Sakura said in response was ‘Oh’.
“ ‘Oh’?!” Nirei yelled, a bit of worry in his voice. “Depending on how long you've been bleeding, the injury could’ve gotten worse and all you can say is, ‘oh’?!” Nirei is now shouting.
Suo puts his hand on Nirei’s shoulder. They’ve all been worried for Sakura since he has his injuries, maybe even a bit too much, considering Nirei’s reaction, but it’s all in good intentions. They just want to make sure that Sakura is safe and well.
Sakura looks at irie with a bewildered expression a slight hint of red on his cheeks from the embarrassment of having so many eyes on him.
“I’m sorry, Sakura-san..” Nirei apologizes. “I went a little overboard..” He says softly, rubbing the back of his neck.
Sakura’s cheeks get a little more red. “You don’t have to apologize…” He murmurs, pouting his cheeks and looking to the side.
Sakura wasn’t new to all of their care but he still has trouble accepting it and coming to the realization that they care for him. He just brushes it off as pity.
He can already tell that his face must be cherry red by the looks that the four teens in front are giving him.
“Tch.. What are you idiots looking at..” He utters softly, a slight hesitation in his face due to being too flustered at the moment.
Suo claps his hands together loudly which startles everyone in the room.
“Enough stalling. We have a Sakura to take care of!” He states loudly.
“A-ah, but-”
“”No buts!” Nirei shouts, pointing a finger at Sakura. “Suo-san’s right! We’ve let this banter go on for too long!” Nirei raises a fist in the air. “We came here to help Sakura with his wounds and to make sure he’s okay. We should get a move on with helping him out as soon as we can!” He states that as if he wasn’t the one doing the most of the talking/shouting.
After about 20 minutes of Tsugeura shouting about virtues, Kiryu trying to distract Sakura by teaching him how to use his phone, Nirei documenting everyone’s behaviors together, and Suo doing all of the work of helping Sakura change his bandages and making food, everything they went there to do, was over.
Sakura falls back onto his futon and blinks. Stares for a few seconds. The blinks.
Wait a second? What…just happened?
“Bye, Sakura-san!” Nirie shouts from the front door in the other room followed by a chorus of more ‘goodbyes’ and just plain old ‘byes’.

Now that Sakura thinks about it his body is really sore and it hurts, well, not as much as it used to since they gave him some pain medicine.
Sakura tries to sit up but finds that his headache is still really bad and it bugs him a lot, knowing that some feeble headache is what keeps him down.
Sakura groans loudly, thrashing, some what, aggressively in the bed, although not too much as to not disturb his head.
“Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck” He moans out. “Tch.” He was NOT gonna sit back and let his friends classmates take care of him.
That’s right! He’s gonna get up, and he’s gonna own these injuries like a boss!
Is what he would say if he wasn’t glued to his futon like if he separated from it, the whole world would end.
He hits the ground next to him. “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-”
