The backrooms, The place Wren was born. The endless rooms and hallways with a buzzing that seemed almost like a worm crawling into your brain it was simple. Yellow walls and a damp carpet. No reason why it's damp...
Wren knows this place like their back of it's hand, of course they get lost at times but they always seen to find it's father.
Wren walks along the carpet barefoot, they don't really mind the endless rooms, the buzzing. It was where they were born anyways. Wren looks around, they usually find some furniture stacked together impossibly, dead ends and... Oh.
What the hell.
Wren has never seen those tiles before. The tiles were white, like they belonged somewhere in an indoor pool. Is this something new? Dangerous? Safe? Only one way to find out.
Wren walks into the room, it's dimly lit with a pool in the middle, a few ducks laid around with a few life rings. Two beach chairs along the sides with a slightly too big umbrella. Wow. Even water.
Wren walks up to the pool, careful not to slip before sitting down. Wren looks down into the pools water, catching a glimpse at their reflection.
There wasn't much wrong about them. Just one extra eye and a missing arm. Wren never saw it as a big deal anyways, for others it was way worse. Like that guy in a wheelchair. Poor guy...
...
After a few minutes of staring at their reflection they got up, walking out of the room carefully.
I can't wait to tell this to dad.
