Chapter Text
They gave away all their love, little by little, to the people they thought needed it more.
They never received any of the love back that they gave away.
Everyday they didn’t receive love, a flower would blossom within their heart. It hurt them, but they never showed their pain; they didn’t want anyone to worry.
Their time was nearing. They could feel it every time a searing pain shot through their chest, but that didn’t stop them from pushing forward until they couldn’t bear it. They walked through the halls with a smile on their face, accidentally nudging into someones shoulder as they grew weaker and weaker on their stride to the bathroom.
Finally making it to their destination, they struggled to push open the door. Mustering up the last of their strength, they staggered towards a bathroom stall before legs eventually gave out. Their knees to collide with the icy bathroom tiles, they let out a pained screech, letting their head rest against the cool ceramic of the toilet as they tried to catch their breath.
Before they even had a chance to catch their breath, they felt their throat start to tingle with the sensation of getting sick, leaning closer into the bowl as they started to vomit.
Tears prick their eyes as they pulled back slightly, looking Into the toilet, seeing petals mixed with a deep crimson red. Before they had time to react, they lowered their head again, ejecting more petals and metallic liquid from their lips.
Suddenly, the door is pushed open, but they were so weak and distracted to even notice the person walking closer to them until they pulled their slightly blood-stained hair up out of their face, shocking them as they looked over to see the boy they nudged in the hall.
Slowly, he kneeled on the floor beside them, rubbing their back gently as he glanced at them with sorrow-filled eyes, seeing bloody petals with drool hanging from their delicate face.
What happened next surprised them the most as he leaned in, pulling their fragile frame into a hug while whispering in their ear softly, “You deserve to be loved, and you shouldn’t have to hide how you feel.”
When he pulled away from the embrace, he saw their pale face and eyes wide with small tears escaping them as he gently swiped them away.
This was so unexpected to them, they never thought anyone had noticed their feelings, let alone the guy they accidentally bumped into. It made them feel so grateful and warm, but maybe that was just their body shutting down.
Looking backing at him with a shaky breath, as sweat beads their cool pale skin they muster a small genuine smile before uttering their last words, “thank you for noticing me, Parker.”
