Obi-Wan didn’t know the man, but he knew his face. He knew the colors that painted the man’s armor.
He knew the 501st had marched on the Temple alongside Anakin, and slaughtered every Jedi inside, no matter how old or young.
And for that terrible act, so crucial to the Empire’s foundation, how had it rewarded its soldiers? Here was the stark answer: they had been abandoned and left to die on the streets alone.
Despite the memories, Obi-Wan could not help the compassion that welled up, and he extended his hand with what little aid he could still give.
