Geek! Tenko Who saw you across the college grounds and was instantly smitten
Geek! Tenko who doesnt get to know your name till he notices you returning a book at the library, tracks down that book and looks at the last name on the borrower name list. He knows that was probably a bit much and maybe even a little weird but tbh he wouldn’t have had the courage to ask you himself anyway, and he didnt hurt you by it so its okay…right?
Geek! Tenko who searches you up on eve try social he has. Instagram, tiktok and even linkedin. He then uses your linkedin posts to figure out your major
Geek! Tenko who leaves his best friend and roommate, shuichi, startled when he finally talks about you and how he found out that much about you.
Geek! Tenko who then realises that no matter what he probably still won’t be able to work up the nerve to approach you and tried to settle back into his regular life. But he just can’t! You occupy his every thought! Whenever he’s out or even walking to class, he looks around to try and catch your eye again.
Geek! Tenko who, after talking about you for about the hundreth time with shuichi, finally manages to yank out the brainworm you managed to implant in his brain and heart.
Geek! Tenko who is able to go back to his regular self… Until he saw you at Comic Con that is.
Geek! Tenko whose soul nearly left his body the moment he saw your league of legends cosplay. His crush? Cosplaying? A character from his favorite game? THIS HAS TO BE FATE RIGHT?!
Geek! Tenko who feels a sudden wave of confidence now that he knows you and he have something he can actually talk about without messing up ( being in his natural habitat also helps-)
Geek! Tenko who walks up to you and compliments your cosplay with the brightest twinkle in his eyes. He of course acts like he had no idea who you were or that you went to the same uni, and when you mention that you’ve seen him around, he thinks he might turn to dust with how hot his face feels!
Geek! Tenko who ends up giving you his socials and even takes a few pictures with you. You compliment his cosplay too and before you can say anything else youre pulled away by your friends. You do however manage to shoot him an apologetic wave and he shoots you one too
Geek! Tenko who goes back to shuichi and touya and tell them all about the encounter! Touya teases him and shuichi fist pumps the air, his boi finally got to talk to his crush!!
Geek! Tenko who was genuinely so invested in the con activities that you took a backseat in his mind for the day. This was his home away from home and honestly the only thing that couldve taken his focus off of you. Maybe getting over his crush(kinda) had taught him to be more independent! [WRONG]
Geek! Tenko who sees you walking in the cosplay ramp walk and cheers for you as loud as his raspy voice can get! Touya and shuichi cheer alongside him and their combined efforts catch your attention and earn him (well you blew it at them as a group) a flying kiss.
Geek! Tenko who gets home from the con and once he’s back on bed, starts checking his phone obsessively (whoops! So much for learned independence-)
Geek! Tenko who nearly wakes shuichi up when he gasps! Not only had you followed him, but you’d sent him a message too!
Geek! Tenko who stayed up and texted you throughout the night. The sun came and his alarm rang but he was sure that the adrenaline he was on right then would sustain him through the day
Geek! Tenko who continues to get texte from you. They were con-based at first but then they because more friendly and small talk adjacent. You were asking him about his day, what things he liked. That sorta stuff. He honestly thanked his lucky stars and prayed you werent playing a cruel prank on him.
Geek! Tenko who then ends up seeing you around campus more often. He’d be in the library and youd show up. He’d just gotten to the cafeteria? You walked in minutes later, and so on and so forth. You’d always sit a little away from him, wave at him, then ask to join him. He obviously said yes every time and you always sat next to him.
Geek! Tenko who doesn’t believe shuichi when he tells him that you definitely like him back. Because why would you? You were pretty, smart, and just amazing! Why would you settle for a crusty loser like him?
Geek! Tenko who accepts that its getting harder to ignore how you start sitting closer and closer to him. Your presence has become a regular part of his life now, so much so that you’ve become the first and last person he texts each day…sure he still hung out with his friends and gamed plenty too, but your presence had become as much of a staple as his hobbies, and he wasnt complaining. He wanted to confess to you but didnt want to ruin what you had going on. Who knows, maybe you were just really, really, really friendly? Based on his luck in life, he wouldnt be surprised if that was the case…
Geek! Tenko who is actually taken aback when you ask him if you could play League Of Legends Sometimes. He’s sure he’s died or in a coma somewhere, because there was absolutely no way in HELL that his actually crush was asking to play LOL with him!! He of course keeps all the internal fireworks he’d felt under wraps and nods with a smile. Later that night you bring up the subject again and actually swap discords
Geek! Tenko who upon seeing your discord profile layout thinks it really suits you! In his opinion your choice of border and profile frame are more in line with the version of you that he’s seen in your conversations, because as he’d noticed, you didnt really show this side of yourself to a majority of your peers… and that made him feel even luckier
Geek! Tenko who plays some league with you the next day, no matter your lane he’s there the moment you need help. Youd be pushing the wave completely fine and hed still shows up to get the guy who was trying to sneak up behind you. (Personally i think he’s either a top or mid laner-)
Geek! Tenko who just feels himself falling deeper and deeper in love with you the more he gets to know you. He wants to confess to you, show you his awkward little heart, but the risk is too big!
Geek! Tenko who’s stunned silent when you suddenly say “HOLY CRAP THANKS SHIGGY!” when he comes to your rescue in lane, but what took his voice away was what came right after, because you immediately followed that expression of thanks with an, “OH MY FUCKING GOD I FUCKING LOVE YOU” he didn’t say much after he regained his bearings, just replied with a meek and barely audible, “I love you too- y/n…” before emoting and heading back to his lane.
Geek! Tenko who stays up that night replaying your confession in his head. the joy in your voice, the confidence with which you said it… was it a confession or did you mean it platonically? He wasnt really sure, and in all honesty he did want to know, BUT GODDAM THE CONSEQUENCES HE’D HAVE TO FACE IF HE WAS WRONG WERE MORE THAN HE COULD EVEN COMPREHEND HAVING TO LIVE THROUGH! So he did the only thing he could, talked to his best friend. And, ever the voice of reason, shuichi told him to go for it. That not knowing would turn into his own personal hell, and that if you were going to do all that and quite literally lead him on, you werent the one for him! So thats what Tenko decided to do. Tomorrow was the day it would all go down… and be bad to admit be was afraid…
Geek! Tenko who steels his nerve the next day and when he sees you during lunch, he himself goes up to you and asks you to talk. He isnt sure what to think about the way youre shifting nervously, but when you agree to talk, he leads you to the secluded area behind the cafeteria
Geek! Tenko who starts the conversation off gently, saying he wanted to talk about something from last night’s game, when you hold up your hand and ask him if you could explain yourself. He isn’t sure if you’ll address the same thing he wanted to, but he still wanted to hear you out. You tell him youre sorry you said you Loved him and that you didnt mean to make him uncomfortable. You tell him you understand if he doesnt feel the same and that it came out like that. And you end your explanation telling him you understood if you couldnt be friends anymore and that youf respect his feelings.
Geek! Tenko whose brain short circuits when he hears all this. And when he sees you take a sheepish step back after he took too long to reply, he reaches out and holds both your hands in his. His fingers are slightly dry but you dont mind, all you can focus on are his pretty red eyes as he tells you that you have nothing to apologize for and that he felt…the same!
Geek! Tenko who is even less prepared for how you leap into his arms and give him the biggest and tightest hug youve ever given him! He holds onto to you just as tight, afraid that if he doesnt youll fade away and he’ll wake up from this to find it was a dream all along.
Geek! Tenko who doesn’t hesitate to nod yes when you ask for permission to kiss him. He leans forward, trying not to make his lack of experience obvious, and captures your lips in the way that feels most natural to him. The kiss isnt very good you must admit, but it didnt matter, you were more than happy to take the lead. You move your arms to wrap around the base of his neck and tangle your fingers in his pale blue hair. When you deepen the kiss, he fumbles but tries his best to keep up and when youre done you both end up a little slobbery but you laugh it off and kiss him on the cheek when you notice how embarrassed he looks. You both have the rest of your lives to figure this whole making out thing and when you say that he thanks you in the most earnest voice youd ever heard him speak in
Geek! Tenko who thanks shuichi with the biggest hug he can muster when he gets back to his dorm, right before he debriefs him and they both end up smiling like crazy.
Geek! Tenko that’s eternally grateful to the forces above that granted him this one wish. Yeah he’d had a hard life, but it was all worth it now that he was with someone who accepted him for his cringey corny self and who he really, truly felt loved him for who he was🥹
