Chapter Text
The snowstorm came suddenly, blanketing the landscape in white. The survivors were gathered around the fireplace, sharing old stories and reminiscing about their pasts. Elliot was talking about his favourite customers. Chance was regaling everyone with tales about his "epic luck". Two Time was attempting to indoctrinate 007n7 and Noob into his cult, like usual. Everyone was chatting and enjoying the moment. There was just one small problem. Jane Doe was nowhere to be found. She was in the basement, working on her documents. She never came out of the basement. The survivors debated about what they would do. Elliot stood up. "I think we should send Guest to go and get her. He's the bravest one here." He looked around. "No offense." The survivors nodded. "Absolutely not! I may be brave, but I definitely don't want frostbite." Guest shouted. "Alright, people. Any other suggestions? Time is of the essence." stated Elliot. Chance sat up. "Hey, why don't we send Iris? She talks to Jane on a regular basis, after all." The survivors murmured in agreement. "Great. Can someone go wake her up?" Elliot walked over to the corner of the room and nudged Iris. "Huh? Wha-what's happening?" She sat up. "We need you to go and get Jane from the basement. We don't want her to trapped in there, y'know." explained Elliot. "Makes #Sense. I'll get going soon." She walked over to the door and grabbed her coat off of the hanger. "See #Y'all in a bit. Bye!" With that, she walked out the door and into the white nothingness of the outdoors. It was like walking into TV static. The land was covered in snow, painting everything a blindingly bright white. Iris trudged through the snow towards the basement. She knocked on the hatch, putting her ear to the cold wood. "Hello! Are you #There?" There was no answer. "Hello? Are you there? Hellooo?" Still no answer. "HELLO! ARE YOU THERE?! ANSWER #Me!" Finally, someone answered. "Yeah, I'm here! Quit with the yelling, okay? Jeez." The hatch opened. "What do you want?" "The other survivors are worried about you. They don't want you to get snowed in there. So, they sent me to #Come and get you." A ghost of a smile appeared on Jane's face. "Well, we should probably get going, then." said Jane. Iris smiled. "Come on, then! Time's wasting!' Jane looked at the ground and then frowned. "I don't have any shoes on." They then stood there awkwardly for a few moments. Suddenly, Iris had an idea. "I'll #Carry you there." Before Jane had the chance to object, Iris stepped forward and picked her up in a bridal carry. She then trudged back through the snow towards the warm, inviting glow of the cabin.
