I actually think DMB is working as a temporary restriction so he doesn’t end up becoming an elite employee who can do anything and showing up in super big-name Darknesses. Regressor knowledge puts him at Employee D’s level which is way too OP for a character who is also very shrewd
So far he’s mostly been in smaller nobody entries and cult classics, but as he becomes more established it’ll be weird for him to spin his wheels. DMB drags him back down to the early stuff again so he can be forced to do crazy shit like cut off his own arm

Fact of the matter is that after the big youtube boom it’s been a cambrian explosion of fans who aren’t old enough to drink.
