Mr. Gomez Addams is to get a new train set when he finds a group of costumed people passing out flyers. He is handed one by a man dressed in blue with a top hat.
He reads the flyer. He grins that it will be something that his family will love. Not those colorful awful circuses with clowns that do lame jokes. “My kids will love this!” He is excited to take his family to a circus of horrors.
The man in blue, known as Ticket Taker. He has to correct him on this. “Sir, this isn't a circus for children. This is an adult only circus. We have acts that are too morbid for children.”
“Nonesense. My children love those types of things. My little Wednesday had dug up a corpse to see if she could make a second Thing.” He excitedly explains.
That had taken him for a loop. A child couldn't dig up a corpse. What is a Thing anyways. Who names their daughter after a day of a week.
He has to tell him again. “Sir, even if you think your children can handle morbid things. We wouldn't let them in.”
Gomez sees where this is going. “I hadn’t taken my children to a circus. They are scared of the clowns. Too many bright colors.” He explains. “I will pay what the tickets cost. Even more than the normal amount.”
That had interested him, if they could have the man pay more than normal. They could take a break from performing. “Sir, may I have your name?”
“I'm Gomez, of the Addams family.” He says da da dada in a musical way.
Ticket Taker snapped his fingers twice when Gomez finished. He looks at his hand in a confused manner. It was like he was forced to do it.
“It's a thing that happens when one of us says our family name.” Gomez informed him.
He is sure the man is human. He has to research that family to see what unusual things are going on. “Your children could come if you pay ten times the amount.” He knows all parents back off when they hear the price or deal.
Gomez sticks out his hand for the other to shake. “You have a deal, good man.”
That plan failed. He still shakes on it. He will inform the others about this. He will see if that family is rich. They will pull out the bells and whistles to get as much money out of them as they could with richer guests.
