Work Text:

Frank was in the basement of his shitty safehouse when he noticed something, he was too focused on organising his equipment, and had been tuning out the constant knocking up until this point.

"Who the hell?-" He got up, curious to how someone would be knocking at his door for so long. He trudged up the stairs and walked to the door. He looked through the spyglass on the entrance and spotted a certain white clad vigilante standing right outside his door, looking furious and thoroughly soaked through.

"Marc?-" Frank asked before being cut off by Marc's dry(heh) voice

"Frank, I have been standing out here in a thunderstorm for two hours, if you don't let me in right now I will carve your face off." The man in white grumbled

"Alright fine!" Frank held his hands up in mock surrender as he stepped aside to let Marc through. He watched the Avatar walk through the house, leaving a trail of muddy footprints and grains of sand, "Damn I forgot he does that..." he muttered, closing the door "HEY! TAKE OFF YOUR SHOES, THIS MAY BE JUST A SAFEHOUSE BUT I LIKE THINGS CLEAN!" he yelled at Marc, before catching the pair of boots that came his way. Grumbling to himself, he followed the trail of footprints to his 'living room' which was just a room with a couch and a cheap TV. He saw Moon knight, who had thrown his cloak and mask onto the radiator in the corner, being in the middle of removing his armour.

"Hey Frank, you happen to have any hairdryers in this place? I need to dry off before I die of the cold." he shrugged

"I'll have a look around." Frank replied, turning around to go and look for one. It took him a while, but he found one, a crappy old hairdryer that probably came with the house when he bought it. He got up and walked back to the living room, where he found Marc, who had stripped all of his armour off, leaving just the black bodysuit underneath, slumped on the couch. He was watching Frank through those moonlight blue eyes of his. Damn, Frank had forgotten how beautiful Marc could be sometimes.

"You took long enough" Marc grinned, snapping Frank out of it

"Well- I have a lot of shit just thrown around here!" he buffered

"I though you said you liked the house clean?" replied Marc

"Its an organised mess." Frank shrugged sitting down next to him, plugging in the cord into an outlet, and began to dry off Marc

"Oh that's much better..." sighed Marc "I was freezing out there!

"Yeah I could imagine, why did you come over in the first place though?" Frank replied

"Honestly? After two hours in the pouring rain with nobody but Steven, Jake, and Khonsu to talk to, I have completely forgot." He said blankly

"Damn." replied Frank, not knowing what else to say as the hairdryer hovered over Marc's suit "Nearly done, by the way." he smiled

"Thank the gods." Marc grinned

"Wait, were your eyes always blue?" asked Frank suddenly "I distinctly remember them being brown when we first met, back in the day."

"Oh yeah, that's a Khonsu thing, after he brought me back from the dead, I just had them." he shrugged "Probably its just there to show I'm his avatar."

"Well that's weird." Frank replied, turning off the hairdryer and putting it on the floor

"Yeah." Marc mumbled, throwing his head back and closing his eyes "Man I'm so tired."

"Get some sleep, you need it." Frank told him

"I know." Marc said, before falling silent, allowing Frank to silently admire the man next to him. After a short while It occurred to Frank that it would be pretty uncomfortable, yeah Marc was also a marine and could sleep in an active warzone if he wanted, but Frank knew that he tended to hunch over so much Frank looked taller than him, which he was not. He gently pulled Spector onto him, letting the mans dark brown curls rest on Frank's chest. He smiled at the much leaner sleeping figure, quietly running his fingers up and down Marc's spine. On impulse, Frank kissed the top of Marc's head, before putting his own head back onto the pillow.

After all, nobody had to know.
